Today's million-dollar question: What is the philosophy behind purely theoretical hair?

* * *

Ola :)

Went to school today. Had no choice, since I was part of the 20 SBU-ians who were signed up to be the buddies to the Japanese visitors from Hagikouen Koukou whom we were later expecting.

Woke up late, though. Set the alarm to ring at 5:35a.m but only "realised" it was 6 o'clock when the maid came in. Rushed after that. Dad sent me to school and I ran (oh, shut up) to the canteen where some of the buddies were already waiting.

After a visit to the discipline room and the school office and the discipline room again (to get permission to bring cameras to school), the whole lot of us made our way to the Exhibition Room for our last few rehearsals till the Japanese's arrival.

They came at around 9 something. It was quite nerve-wrecking because while some were cute and smiling, there were a significant number of them frowning and not showing ANY form of facial expression at all (apart from frowning).

Thankfully, my Jap buddy was reasonably friendly. あやーさん is her name. There were boys this time, of course, but I decided against taking the risk. One of the buddies weren't so lucky. She got a small boy who found solace in constantly making it seem like everyone around him suffered from a severe case of malaria.

-.-

That aside, after many photo shots, we proceeded to the Exhibition Room ahead of the Japanese and got ready for their arrival into the room.

When all that had passed and the Japanese were safely inside, we did our routine and watched performances from some SBU students after grabbing our respective buddies. After the zapin, fan, and Indian dances, the Japapanese performed a number before the icebreaking game commenced.

It wasn't too bad, except for the deafening awkward silence when none of us knew how to say a particular phrase about something in Japanese.

Well, I'm sorry anime doesn't cover every aspect of everyday conversation.

Lee me alone -.-

Our next game was Musical Chairs. They played Catch My Breath by Westlife, Nee by Fujita Maiko and Crush On You by Tata Young before life went on -.-

After all that, and another exhausting photo session, it was time for the usual school tour. First stop was the muzium museum where they ventured into the antique and legendary legacy of BBGS, staring at the stuff, having absolutely no fricking idea what they were because we are rubbish translators.

Our next stop was the library. Couldn't remember the word for librarian, again. But argh, nevermind.

We then led our buddies down to the judo dojo where the SBU students were left to stand outside and rot into nothing whilst our visitors and teachers enjoyed the fantastic invention we dubbed "chairs" and watched the judo people kick each others' butts for their entertainment.

Our next place of interest was the chess corner, where the Head Boy devastated Laili, our most professional Japanese speaker, by using extravagant words he himself couldn't understand because he was too busy going "What the frick did I just say?!"

The school's best chess player played against two of the Japanese students simultaneously. Obviously, he won. There was pity for Laili's buddy, whom I call Mr Harry Potter because of the uncanny resemblance (back when Daniel Radcliffe was still cute, though :P), because it was obvious he was an amateur (who only knew as far as the rules) and he was trembling.

My heart went out to him. Sorry, I'm a sucker for tearjerking moments in life, so...

:)

After the chess stuff, we went to the Multipurpose Room for the traditional game introduction of congkak. Played for about 5 minutes before we left next door to the Teachers' Lounge for lunch.

Handed out tissues for everybody and therefore did not get any food because there wasn't enough. Obviously, we live in a time where goodness is rewarded with a big punch in the stomach and a hard slap across the face.

-.-

It was soon time for the souvenir-exchanging ceremony. Special thanks to my darling sister for buying the pineapple cake for my buddy. I received a fan in return.

They left quite soon after that. Of course, first we had to exhaust them with more photo session requests. We had to stay in our positions so long that I swear the sides of my mouth were bleeding.

Even AFTER they left, we were taking photos. I'd never posed for a picture so many times before during a school event. Oh God~ -.-

Went to Dellie's house at 2 o'clock and had lunch. The original plan was McD's but they were gonna be at least 2 hours late due to technical problems. Had Dellie's food instead. Felt plenty bad, just so you know.

Went home at 3 o'clock, straight to the Jalan Tun Razak LRT station to fetch my brother. Slept on the way home. Bathed after that, played Tap Tap Revenge (and many other Tap Tap's) then ate dinner. Chemistry tuition was at 6:40p.m until 8:40p.m.

Played more Tap Tap then spent the rest of my time watching, or rather listening, to Dylan Moran whilst writing my blog entries in my Spell-It-Right notebook before transferring 'em onto my blog itself.

That's about it, then. Currently 12:03a.m. Gotta sleep now :)

CIAO!!

P/S/S: Can't wait for tomorrow after school, though I'm dreading school itself.
