Today's million-dollar question: What is the magic behind illusions?

*          *          *

Ola :)

On the 18th of December 2012, I had my very first outing with my friends. No family. No teachers. No chaperones. Just me, Applebutt, Dellie and Xuan.

And it was awesome :)

Well, truth be told, it could've been better. I mean, things could've gone better if we had planned things a little more thoroughly, but all in all, it was a very fun first trip :)

What happened was, I woke up at 9 o'clock in the morning to bathe. That was my original plan, except when I got to my dad's room, I realised he was using it, so I slept on his bed...

... for another 45 minutes.

After bathing, I packed my bag then went downstairs to chill for a while before my dad called and told me he wanted me to print his certificates and such.

-.-

My friends came soon and they had to bear with me while I finished typing all the names on the list. Quite unfortunately, I was short on two pieces of certificate paper so I had Dellie follow me out to Lian Hing where I bought another batch of certificate papers.

Back at home, I printed the remaining two names and then proceeded to pasting the common seals on them. Applebutt, Xuan and Dellie helped stamp the seal onto the common seal thingymajingies too, afterwards.

Got it done with soon enough. Called my dad and we left with the Naza. Took a detour to Solaris first, though. My dad needed to get rice cookers to the kitchen staff. My aunt, Dellie, Xuan, Applebutt and I, on the other hand, went to have lunch at Ichiban boshi. Dad joined us after he was done with his business.

After a really, really, really heavy but satisfying lunch, we left towards Genting.

The trip was long, but the conversations made the ride enjoyable and tolerable until we reached our destination. My dad brought us to the equestrian place from before as a reward for printing the certificates so efficiently but unluckily for me, they had moved the horses, and right as we entered the Naza to continue our journey, we spotted the horses next to the abandoned place but it was too late to visit them so...

:(

Very disheartened after that.

Either way, we arrived at Genting (after a failed attempt to take the cable car up as well since Applebutt has never been on one before) at around 3 something. Aunt and dad checked in for us and got us settled in before leaving us to "jolly".

Meanwhile, my friends and I nuah-ed in the hotel room until 5:30p.m. Met with my dad and aunt then because my friends had a curiosity regarding the Freeze show. My dad got free tickets and we waited around until 7p.m to get seats.

After getting our tickets, we ate dinner at McD's before going for the show at 8:30p.m.

Not bad. The contortionists were cool. Skating performances weren't too shabby as well. However, if you're going to make someone pay RM40 just to stand next to one of the performers, don't even bother. Out of 10 people, only 1 is going to even think about having their pictures taken -.-

I'm exaggerating, but who doesn't, nowadays? :P

After the show ended at 10:30p.m, we bought some snacks at this 77 shop then went back up to the hotel room. In there, we watched The Simpsons' Movie and City of Ember on my laptop before finally resigning to bed :)

That's about it, for the 18th of December.

どっち選んでいい?

Today's million-dollar question: Is there always a guarantee that you'll be loved as much as you love?

*          *          *

Ola :)

Today, quite unfortunately, I had to wake up early. Honestly, I didn't know that it was early, so when my mom came in to wake my sister and I up, I panicked, thinking it was already noon.

You know, since normally, I wake up a few times before noon.

In reality, it was only nine something. My mom needed us up early because we were headed to my ex-music teacher's temple wedding. She married a Sikh so today was supposed to be their traditional ceremony.

Reluctantly (as I always am to get up), I freshened up then went downstairs to have nasi lemak for breakfast. Couldn't finish, though, so I gave half to my dad while I got my stuff in my bag to prepare for take-off.

The travel to the temple didn't take too long. Traffic was a bitch, but when is it ever not, nowadays?

Damn, my teacher looked absolutely stunning in her costume (that's what she called it, so I'll call it that too). Apparently it took two painstakingly long hours to get her makeup and dress on. Not to mention, she had earrings and necklaces to put on too.

Noticed the henna along her hands and legs. She had had that done the day before. The process took three hours.

Can you imagine that? Three hours, just sitting there and having someone else paint something on you, both hands and feet.

It looked fantastic on her, though.

After greeting her and taking loads of pictures, we went upstairs. Had to wear a scarf, though. It's Sikh custom for both the men and women to do that. I don't know what the significance of the scarf is, but we wore 'em anyway.

Told my dad he looked like Hang Tuah :P

The ceremony was long and boring, I won't deny it. Though, my sister and I did more than enough to amuse ourselves. We read the Punjabi translations of what the Head Priest was singing and then just sat as we witnessed an authentic Sikh wedding being performed before our very eyes.

Raymundo and Wynne came for the wedding too.

A feast awaited our arrival downstairs after the ceremony ended. My sister and I shared some stuff on the same plate then chit chatted with my ex-teacher and my sister's friends. Took a heck load of pictures, as usual.

One of my teacher's husband's aunties was being insufferable, though. Wobbling, wobbling here and there and being a pain to everybody -.-

Bleghh~

After a long chat, we finally went to the Cobra Club where the guys were drinking. Apparently, it's Sikh culture to do so after a wedding (and, to some extent, before).

O.O

They were playing The Three Musketeers on the big screen O.O So, while listening to everybody else talking about adult-er stuff, I watched D'Artagnan kick ass.

At 1:30p.m, we set off to drop Raymundo and Wynne off at the First Coach bus station. Bade them goodbye, then went back home ourselves.

Cooped myself up in my sister's room and watched a few episodes of Inukami after that. My sister came in soon after and slept O.O

Dad called me at around 4 something? Told me to go down and wait for some dude and my brother to come back. So I did. Played Pokemon on my SP until the E Excel guy came.

Stayed until my brother came too.

Not too long after, I went upstairs to continue where I left off with Inukami. At about 5:20p.m, my dad came into the room and asked if we wanted to go to Publika for dinner. Said yes, of course, and then proceeded to wake my sister up from her slumber.

Left the house at about 5:45p.m after changing into more presentable clothes. Ate at Ichiban boshi because I wanted to try their ramen. Had some sushi too.

After dinner, my sister, brother and I walked around. Went to the iStore where we checked our the iPad Mini, iPad 4, iPod Touch and various headphones.

Still debating on whether I should get the iPod Touch or iPad Mini. Suggestions, anyone?

Went back to D' Balcony after everything was done. Had a shandy with my sister and shared the chocolate fudge brownie. Lovely, as always.

Used my laptop for a while to start blogging, but after a while the Internet stopped working so I kept my laptop and played with my SP instead.

Reached home not too long ago. Changed into my pajamas and proceeded to continuing where I left off with today's post.

Shall go to sleep soon. Will either peruse my hard drive for things to watch or read some manga first before being yelled into going to sleep, I suppose :P

Today's million-dollar question: How long does it take to regain one's trust?

*          *          *

Ola :)

I was fading in and out of sleep again today. By the time I was really awake, it was 12 o'clock. My mom was cranky about it, as usual, but yeah~ I've grown accustomed to it so...

I learn to tune out :P

Haha~

Anyways, after freshening up, my sister and I went downstairs. I can't remember what I did for a while, but after my mom finished teaching for the first half of the day, they decided to go to the vegetarian shop to have lunch.

-.-

Decided not to because I always end up going there and not know what the hell I want to eat.

So, instead, I went to Kam Hei, where I took-away my dad's order and packed mixed economy rice for myself.

And then, I did an absolutely shocking thing.

...

I ran on the treadmill.

I know, I know. I can see your jaws dropping from where I'm sitting/sleeping/reading/watching/singing/dancing/dying...

I'm getting carried away -.-

Anyways, I watched Law of Ueki while running on the treadmill for half an hour. Half an hour later, I chilled, watched about two more episodes of Law of Ueki then went downstairs to eat what I had packed.

Waited for my sister to finish bathing then did so as well because we had to visit my grandpa. Car batteries went dead, though, so we first waited for someone to come and change the batteries.

Listened to my sister's music playlist of TVXQ songs before reaching our destination. Spent about four hours there. I was watching Itazura Na Kiss.

Had dinner at my grandpa's place. Talked with my aunt a bit then came back home.

Since then, I've been in my sister's room (after she painted my nails with funky colours -.-) using my laptop. I finally finished watching Zero no Tsukaima F. Have to re-download the third season of Shakugan no Shana, though, because mine won't play.

O.O

Okay, then. Mom'll get mad if I don't sleep now, so...

~11/12/2012~

Today's million-dollar question: What is your definition of 'unreasonable'?

*          *          *

Ola :)

I woke up a few times this morning, but officially, it was afternoon. I didn't feel like getting up too soon, that's why I kept fading back to sleep.

Woke my sister up soon after because we were supposed to have both our hairs cut. She awoke soon enough and then we both went downstairs to eat the food my aunt bought for us as our breakfast. Mom got pissed when I told her of our plans because she said we should've left the breakfast food for later and joined her for lunch before going to Smart Cut.

-.-

Bleghh~

While eating, though, my sister somehow managed to persuade me to wait till the next day to have our hairs cut because we might not have had time to do so after lunch. Wasn't happy about it, but I went with it in the end.

So yeah, after eating, we chilled for a while, waiting for my mom to finish teaching before we ate lunch at Kam Hei. Well, in my case, I used my iPad to read Charming Junkie :D Love Umi :P He's so cute.

Hehe~

Ate loh yee mee in Kam Hei and drank iced Milo before setting off to Smart Cut with my sister.

Why?

Because halfway through our food, I told my mom about our changed plans but she said that we would have no time the next day either because we'd be out the whole day. So my sister decided to go after lunch.

Hehe.

Changed my hair style :) Decided to have very, very, very thin hair so Gav had the top part of my head's hair short whilst he left the bottom part of my head's hair long. So, right now, my hair feels very light :)

Awesome.

About an hour – and RM85 – later, we left for home. Sister bathed first, then I followed suit. After doing so, we left towards the Intercontinental Hotel to get my sister's friends.

She took a wrong turn, though, so we ended up at the hotel only half an hour after the time we were supposed to be there O.O

Set off towards D' Balcony Bistro & Bar after that and got stuck in a massive traffic jam. We were literally trapped in the Teana for about 2 hours just moving slowly to Publika.

O.O

We were going mad in the car. My sister and her friends were crapping all the way until we finally  parked the car and entered D' Balcony.

Ate the gourmet chicken pie again. Drank shandy first before iced water.

Not long after, my ex-music teacher joined us, and not long after that, my parents and brother joined us. Sang the birthday song for Raymundo, ate the cake and chatted for a while more before my mom sent me home.

And so here I am now, blogging about my day on my MacBook while chatting with my kau fu. He was wondering why I wasn't asleep yet. Haha.

Oh well, since there's not much else to talk about, I shall stop here :) CIAO!!

だって、好きだもん

Today's million-dollar question: How many farts can one make before he/she faints?

*          *          *

Ola :)

So this post is for today!! I woke up at about 9 something. Actually, I had woken up earlier than that, but I didn't wanna get up because it was too damn early. So, I just waited until my sister called me.

Sure enough, soon she did. Reluctantly, I woke up and went to change out of my clothes before going downstairs. After my brother got ready and I stuffed the things I wanted inside my bag, my sister, brother, Jem and I got into the car to have breakfast near Bandar Kinrara.

It was alright. I had char siew noodles and iced Milo. Jem paid for our drinks. Should've seen my sister's face.

Imitating Gabriel Iglesias: Priceless!!

:P

After breakfast, we sent Jem back to his house and set off towards Petaling Jaya.

Quite unfortunately, we must've taken a few wrong turns somewhere along the way because we were friggin' lost.

I swear, we left Jem's house at around 12 something and only reached our grandparents' place at about 1++p.m.

We got on the right track a couple of times before but obviously it didn't really matter -.-

That aside, after we reached, we realised the maid had also gone off to church with my grandpa and aunt and uncle so my siblings and I had to wait, like, 15 minutes before we could finally get into the house to sit again (when they had returned).

Pretty much just used my laptop the whole time I was there (needed to get all my music from my iPad to the laptop iTunes so I could sync 'em together). My sister sat next to me and played a Line Birzzle marathon until my iPad power ran out -.- Ate apples, though, and talked to my aunt and grandpa for a while.

At about 4 something, we decided we had to go home, so we did. I bathed, as did my siblings, then we all went out to Leisure Mall where we had dinner at Esquire Kitchen.

Wanted to watch a movie (despite the fact we were already watching a movie the following day) but my sister and brother decided against it because my brother had to study and my sister logically explained how our parents wouldn't allow two movies in two nights.

-.-

Oh well...

Went back home after perusing Speedy's anime collection. Have been using the laptop since. I wanted to start watching Kimi Ni Todoke again but after 5 episodes, I switched. Another few episodes and I switched to Pokemon.

Am watching the 21st episode of Pokemon now but I'll be going upstairs (from the music room) soon because I wanna lie on the bed~~ :P

That's about it, then. CIAO!!

新しいものの物語

Ola :)

Guess what? I'm posting this from my new laptop!!

Yes! Yes! I've finally gotten my MacBook Pro!!

Though I had to go through quite a lot of angry moments. For one, my mom had already said yes to getting the laptop for me at one point, but right as I could, my dad wouldn't allow it.

Kept saying that I could wait and that it wasn't necessary for me to get it now. The thing was, we were already at KLCC – Uniqlo, to be exact – so why couldn't I have gotten it then? It would've made less sense if my parents made a second trip to KLCC for the sole purpose of getting the laptop for me.

-.-

Unfortunately, he did not see the logic in my explanation.

Therefore, I did not get it then.

However, finally, after quite a few days of anticipation – and desperation -.- – my dad finally got the laptop for me.

But just when he was finally willing to get it for me, my mom made a sour face -.-

Alright, so the story went like this:

We were going to DFP to watch a concert and the plan was to go early and have dinner before getting my laptop at Machines.

Unfortunately, we got stuck in a jam because God decided to "let it rain". As if that didn't slow us by a by at least 45 minutes, after we finally got settled in Dome's (where we decided to have dinner), they said I would have to wait quite a while before my "toast & eggs with sausages" dish would be completed.

Breathed in, thought for a very long time, then had my sister help me decide on the gourmet chicken pie.

-.-

I thought it would have been alright after that, but about 15 minutes after that, the waiter actually came back and told me that they had already run out of the gourmet chicken pie.

I mean, I don't blame them when they say that their gourmet chicken pie has run out. Truth be told, I'm very well aware of how delicious their gourmet chicken pie is. But the least they could have done was tell me beforehand, and not 15 minutes after you've gone off with everyone else's orders.

*Frowns pointedly at nothing in particular*

So yeah, after they had told me that they ran out of the gourmet chicken pie, I guess I... overreacted and kinda... loudly said, "Then never mind. I won't eat anything."

...

O.O

I couldn't help it, okay??

So anyway, after I shared a mushroom soup with my sister, I took about half of my dad's nasi lemak and then waited until about 8:10p.m before my dad finally glanced at his wrist watch and said to me, "Okay, let's go to Machines now."

Trust me, I may have looked real calm, but my heart was doing somersaults.

Or, in my sister's words: Doing the samba.

Dad and brother followed me up to Machines. Then, in a hurry, we decided on the laptop and casing before brisk walking – like cow – towards DFP for the concert.

The concert was alright. Particularly fancied the last movement of the last piece of the second half of the concert. During the 20-minute break, I just stayed in the concert hall and played with my SP, though :P

Sorry, I'm not the mingling type.

Was tired by the time the concert ended. Didn't appreciate the threat my mom used on me about not being allowed to touch my new laptop until I'd run on the treadmill the next day first, though.

Mind you, I am perfectly capable of knowing when and when not to stop, especially when it comes to things that I know will piss my mom off.

Of course, sometimes I have a funny way of showing it (I'm not denying it), but hearing the words come out from her mouth make it even more impossible for me to obey because it annoys me.

Aiseh~

So yeah, I slept right after I came home. You know, just to show my mom I can live a day without touching the laptop.

-.-

That's about it, then. CIAO!!

~02/12/12~

Today's million-dollar question: How much can a person eat before he/she simultaneously combusts?

*          *          *

Ola :)

Quite sadly, we had to wake up early today. My sister woke me up at 9 and we bathed, freshened up and got dressed before having breakfast in Super Snack once again.

Had a waffle and an iced Milo.

Later, since my sister wanted to go to the conservatory to practice for her jury, my brother and I followed suit. Used the laptops in the keyboard lab while my sister practiced.

She finished pretty soon, though, despite her initial 2-hour practice plan. Watched a few episodes of Rurouni Kenshin on the big Mac in front of the whiteboard.

Some episodes later, my sister placed her violin – I was going to write 'guitar' O.O – in her boyfriend's locker before we left to the University Town for lunch.

We settled for Subway. My sister and I had the egg mayo whilst my brother had some cheese concoction. Drank the fanta orange drink and shared a chocolate chip cookie with my brother.

My siblings and I conversed after that for a while before we eventually left. Walked up to the bus station then to wait for the A2 bus to come along to get us so we could drop some stuff off at the residence. Unfortunately, I had absentmindedly gotten onto the wrong bus, which sent me right back to U-Town.

So I had to walk all the way up to the bus station again.

Upon reaching the hostel, my sister took a short 15-minutes nap while I used my laptop to read the Rurouni Kenshin manga.

T'was a short rest but we felt quite rejuvenated after we left the hostel towards the Kent Ridge MRT. Bought tickets to Bradell and then ate ice cream and waffles at a place called Creamier.

Awesome stuff.

We were really stuffed by the time we finished eating.

Left Creamier after that and met Guam at Toa Payoh to buy stuff at the Toa Payoh Mall. My sister chose a sweater for me and something for herself then we left the place for somewhere else again.

Had dinner at some BBQ place then. Not too bad. Didn't fancy the nachos. What I had as the main course was alright, though. For the drink, I had a mango peach mixture, as did Guam and my sister.

Not long after, my sister and Guam went off somewhere to see stuff while I waited outside.

Before going back to the hostel, my brother grabbed another sandwich at Subway's. Then, we went back.

And now, my sister and I, once again, are watching episodes of Rurouni Kenshin. She had to disappear for a while, though, because she had to settle some stuff with Jem and our brother.

My sister and I will be going to sleep after the 54th episode, though, so I shall end my post here :)

Today's million-dollar question: 1000SGD is worth how many won?

*          *          *

Ola :)

It's finally the time when I'm free from SPM!! Of course, it officially ended on the 27th of November for me, but since I haven't been on the computer for a very long time, my blog hasn't been updated.

Therefore, I am blogging for the first of December 2012. I am currently in Singapore, staying with my sister on campus. Arrived on the 29th of November but I haven't had the good fortune of blogging since I could not access the Internet.

Anyways, today my sister, brother and I decided to just laze about and do nothing. After two movies the day before and a seizure in the toilet, we figured it was enough excitement for me -.-

Yeah, we had watched Pitch Perfect at 2pm and then the second part of Breaking Dawn. My sister wanted to see Renesmee and I was absolutely bananas to see the wolves.

I'll review them later :)

And yes, unfortunately, that night, I suffered a seizure after bathing. I was in the toilet, completely unaware. The next thing I remembered was hearing my sister call me. I had been crying and I was lying down on the floor.

With all my strength, I then pushed myself up and opened the door. My only consolation was that I was in the shower on campus and not the toilet, otherwise I would've had my head knocked into next week.

After drying my hair, I went straight to sleep.

This morning – or rather, afternoon – when I woke up and was talking to my sister about what the eff happened, we deduced that I had had a seizure. I also knocked both the sides of my head as well as my right shoulder near the spine.

It's a good thing it happened at night and not in public for all to see, though the seizure event itself is a horrible thing.

That aside, my sister woke me up at noon today. After bathing, we went to have brunch somewhere but I can't for the life of me remember where.

Oh wait, now I remember. My sister, brother and I joined her friend at one of the makan places in the residence. I had the chicken baked rice and drank iced Milo.

After we ate, my sister, brother and I went back to the hostel where my sister and I watched a few episodes of Rurouni Kenshin before finally departing to Clementi.

Why?

That would be to have dinner at Ajisen Ramen. It's a Japanese restaurant, as I'm sure you've deduced from its name. My siblings and I all had ramen and some sushi which came in a set.

40++SGD later, my sister went to change a portion of SGD to Korean won at a money changer nearby. Left to the hostel again then and continued watching Rurouni Kenshin episodes with my sister.

Today was pretty boring, so yeah~
