Shugo Chara *Shugo Chara, Doki & Party*

Okie dokie. This is a review for all three seasons of Shugo Chara :)

Season 1 starts off with Hinamori Amu as an ordinary school girl at Seiyo Elementary. Tch, so much for ordinary, eh? Never believe anime when they say the girl's ordinary because the minute that's mentioned, her life changes :P

Anyways, everyone's first impression of Amu is of her being "cool and spicy", referring to her as awesome and cool and stuff like that. However, in reality, she's a very shy girl who has troubles explaining how she's feeling and la-di-da.

It chanced upon her one day when she was wishing for her would-be self to come out and the next morning, discovers three brightly-coloured eggs in her bed - red, blue and green. 

Obviously she panics at first, but soon calms down. And then on another "fine" day, the eggs hatch one by one in this order: Red, Blue and Green. 

Ran is Amulet Heart, Blue is Amulet Spade whilst Su is Amulet Clover.

Get where this is going?

Yeah, the cards= Spade, Heart, Clover and Diamond.

Yes, there is an Amulet Diamond, but she comes much later in the series. 

These little things in the eggs are called Shugo Chara a.k.a Guardian Characters. They represent who you want to be. You must be thinking Amu is one screwed up girl to want to be four different types of people, but they each take a different aspect of her personality -_-

Bleghh~

The Shugo Chara help Amu find her true self and would-be self in this anime, to be frank, and along the way, she purifies all the Batsu Tama "X Eggs"

And obviously you're blur on what exactly is happening at the moment. 

These eggs contain the small little chibi characters that are your would-be selves, or in reality's case, who you will be in the future. X Eggs are eggs which have white crosses on them that mean your dreams are corrupted. These things then wreak havoc and the ones that save them and turn them back into Shugo Tama *Guardian Eggs* are the Guardians of Seiyo Elementary.

They consist of four chairs: The King Chair, Queen Chair, Jack Chair and Ace Chair. All four were inhabited when Amu was founded, so she was given the Joker's Chair. Quite interesting in it's own way. Plus, the guys are damn cute so I ain't complainin' :)

The anime also covers romance as it's genre, so by watching you can probably guess who she falls for and who falls for her, but it's still undecided who she'll end up with.

Which kinda pisses me off.

Season 2 is pretty much the same, but the older students graduate to Sieyo Junior High, I guess, and new people take the Chairs and stuff like that. It also marks the beginning of Daia hatching *Amulet Diamond* :) In the previous series, Amu actually lost Daia *transformed into Batsu Tama* to singer Utau Hoshina, who also doubles as a henchman for the Easter Company.

*What's with the relation the eggs, right? :P*

She soon wins her back and starts a friendly relationship with Utau and her brother *whom she's in LOVE with*, Ikuto. Oh God, Ikuto's so cute :P

Yeah~

Season 3... I actually dislike this season the most because of their added series to the beginning and ending. They've got this Shugo Chara Dokki Doki thing and Pucchi Puchi thing and it pisses me off, seriously, because they even got real people to cosplay Ran, Miki, Su and Daia.

Bleghh~

All in all, the episodes only lasted about 10 to 12 minutes each episode. Where's the fun in that? To "top" it all off, it only has 25 episodes. I finished it within the span of two days, and if you minus the sleeping time, one day.

The storyline, though, still keeps me interested in a way and amused too. It's okay, I guess, but I'm still waiting for the fourth season, if there is one.

There'd better be.

I hope they cancel the additional mini series -_-
