Suisei no Gargantia Ep 10

Alright, I'm going to start cutting to the chase because I don't want to waste time, so here's the review for:

Suisei no Gargantia Ep 10
Suisei no Gargantia
Island of Ambition

Picking up from where the episode left off from Episode 9, after figuring out what was on the disk, Red became very...

What's the word for it?

It's not 'lifeless', but he just seemed really confused and in a state of disbelief.

Pinion, on the other hand, after figuring out that Red had helped discovered a whole new array of weaponry, decided to broadcast to the entire world that he had 'em.

From here on out, you'd really start hating Pinion for being the dick that he is. Even if his intentions were not all bad, he's still an asshole.

At one point, Red starts thinking about everything that he has done so far under the alliance's orders. He's beginning to question all the things that he's done, whether or not they were for the right reasons.

So naturally, he'd snap when Pinion disturbs him. Honestly, Pinion deserved it, the stupid blonde -.-

Back at Gargantia, Ridget and the others are wondering if Pinion was really thinking when he was sending a radio message to the rest of the ships that he had found new weapons.

Bebel and the doctor are, of course, worried too, though I'm sure for different reasons.

And naturally, there would be a part of the episode dedicated to our loving heroine

She wasn't crying or anything, but Saaya was there to comfort her anyways. She even suggested the Amy go to where Red was, but Amy declined, to her relief.

On the other hand, Pinion was getting full of himself blasting ships away and making slaves of all the losing crew.

I really hated his guts here. How stupid could he get, really?

Dunce as he may be, though, Pinion knows when a man is feeling down, so he decides to cheer Red up.

Many people aboard their ship were glad. I don't think they felt it because they had new weapons, though.

Either way, Red couldn't really enjoy himself

He gets a flashback again, and this time he was thinking about the boy that looked like him.

Not long after, Pinion gets the rival who can finally kick his ass.

And I'm sure I don't need to tell you where the rival is from.

I know, I know, it was expected. Well, at least, I expected it. I knew that one day, someone would have to make a move. It was either Red leaving Earth, or them settling on it.

So it was the latter?

This episode was a more relaxed one. The only important things that happened was the new weapons that Pinion salvaged, how he used those weapons and the arrival of another of Red's colleagues.

When he had a flashback of the young boy who looked like him, something got me thinking, though. How is it he can't remember who he is and what relationship he shared with the boy although he knows he's seen him before?

10 episodes in and we still don't know?? Come on!!

Look out for episodes 11, 12 and 13! A possible post-together, just so you know!!

Suisei no Gargantia Ep 9

Before anyone says anything, I just want to say: "At least I'm getting started on it."

Yeah, so anyways, here's the review for:

Suisei no Gargantia Ep 9
Suisei no Gargantia
Deep Sea Secret

So this episode is all about what happens after Red and the others decide to leave Gargantia!

Pinion's obviously super excited with everything because he can finally 'salvage' whatever is at the bottom of the sea where the Hideauze live.

I'm guessing Red is quite indifferent at this point.

Pinion has a flashback, however, halfway into the episode. He starts reminiscing about his brother (whose name escapes me, I don't think it was ever mentioned O.O).

Seems nasty, though, to have to accept the reality that your brother/sibling was devoured by something as twisted as the Hideauze.

-.-

Alright, so Red technically wipes out all the Hideauze there are in the area.

He found like a whole bunch of them – I think they were eggs – and used Chamber to vapourise 'em.

O.O

Midway through, he manages to find something hidden in a crate somewhere and asks Chamber to see if any information may be salvaged.

I shan't tell you the contents of the disk, otherwise this whole thing would be redundant. It's a review, not a spoiler -.-

Yeah, Red wasn't too pleased about what he found, and neither would I.

He's finally learnt the truth behind the alliance he's from, and from the expressions on his face, you can tell he's really pissed and confused.

Meanwhile, our beloved Amy and Bebel are lounging around back at Gargantia without much of a care in the world

:)

Other than the fact that whatever was in the disk was exposed, this was quite a laid-back episode. Much of the episode-time was used up explaining the stuff in the disk so you'll have to watch in order to feel the full 24 minutes XD

Either way, this was a pretty okay episode. For one, it didn't focus so much on Amy, which is a relief from her in the previous episode where she was wailing-but-not-doing-anything-drastic-to-stop-Red.  Also, we got information on Hideauze, man!!

Truthfully speaking, I kind of predicted what was on the disk. It's quite predictable in that sense because most sci-fi stories would have some kind of weird-ass experiment in between, right?

Oops, don't wanna spoil it too much for you, eh?

Look out for episode 10, 11, 12 and 13! There's a high chance I might group them together so I can save time and post space XD

Today's million-dollar question: Don't you just love Sheldon Cooper?

*          *          *

Ola :)

Haven't been updating, I know. But remember that I have already mentioned before that I wouldn't be able to update daily before my exams are up.

Nonetheless, I've been relaxing between papers. I've only had two papers so far, but never mind. I'm actually currently working on an outline for a new story. I know, I know, I never finish my stories. In fact, the only one I've actually finished is Undefined Destiny (and that's only the 1st book of the trilogy I planned).

I'm horrible, I know.

I've actually had so many other stories that I've given up on halfway. Most of the time it's because of the lack of ideas when I reach the middle, or I lose interest. Some it's because I realised there were too many inconsistencies in the story whereas some I decided to scrap because it felt like it resembled another story or movie, like Dark Secrets of a Demon Princess resembling Sky High.

Don't ask in what way.

I have a good feeling about this, though.

Anyway, I woke up at 6a.m today. I had set my alarm to ring at 4:30a.m, but for some reason, I couldn't bring myself to wake up, so...

Freshened up and everything then went downstairs to study. Put 'To Believe' by Jackie Evancho on repeat, because for some odd reason, I'm hooked to this song.

If my sister is reading this, she should listen to it >.<

Brother did not want to wake up early today so we only left the house at around 7:45a.m. Reached college at 8:06a.m and I wanted to complain about my brother parking near the temple since it's so far. However, I could already hear what he would reply so I decided against it. I could afford to walk, anyway.

Went straight to the canteen where Pain and Prabha were waiting. Ate nasi lemak + egg + veggie for RM2.70. Drank iced Milo, then chatted a while before going upstairs to the library where Nongnutt was studying.

Together, we studied PACE and other stuff. Beats joined us, as did Gujerati, out of nowhere. Lex came in midway to play Game of Thrones on the computer. She also made me read one of her new Lukas Bondevik reader-insert fan fictions.

I'm not a real fan, but I read it anyway. Anything other than stoic grammar was greatly welcome then.

When I finished reading, we joined Dellie for lunch at the canteen at 11a.m. I didn't eat anything, though. Halfway through something happened and I sort of lost my appetite, so...

Yeah~

After eating, we chatted a little – Ostrich joined us for a while too – and then we continued studying in the library. About forty minutes before our exam, Ostrich joined us in the library and together, we went to the hall. We had the same seating arrangement as Tuesday >.<

Recapped on whatever we could before our exams started. When it was finally time, I realised my phone was still in my pocket so I handed it to the invigilator before the test started.

Whatever we studied for Paper 2 did not come out. However, it was part of what we studied for Paper 1 so we survived.

The exam ended at 2:30p.m and I went out to where my brother was waiting in the car. Upon reaching home, I went out to buy chicken rice for lunch (I was starving to the point where my stomach had growled in the middle of the exam!!).

Watched episodes of Phineas and Ferb while eating.

Bathed after eating and continued watching until my mom and dad went out. After that, I didn't know what else to watch, since I couldn't figure out where my hard drive was. In the end, I watched episodes of Big Bang Theory while steaming siew mai and frying egg for dinner.

Am proud to say the whole two-eggs-a-day thing is still going strong!! >.<

Now I'm plotting the outline for my new story again. It's still got some rough edges that I want to sort out before actually starting it, so... :)

I'm trying to invent some cool names too. I liked the names from my Wilderdale story so I might copy-paste them. They're both my stories anyway >.<

That's about all for now, then.

ちょ面白いや!!

Today's million-dollar question: What's your favourite season?

*          *          *

Ola :)

I'm dreadfully sorry I haven't been able to update daily. What with all my exams around the corner, my social life (or rather, what little social life I have) began dwindling to zero. The only thing I was doing with my laptop these past two, three days was research on statutory interpretation, judicial precedence, equity, delegated legislation, human rights and jury.

I know, right? What a life.

No Detective Conan, no Phineas & Ferb, no Big Bang Theory, no Legend of Korra Book 2. I'm dying here!

Anyway, I woke up at 4:30a.m. Well, actually that's the time I set my alarm to. I actually woke up earlier than that. For some reason I was wide awake in the middle of the night. Must be because I slept at 10p.m the night before. Was still studying Law like mad the previous day, but at 9 something my dad advised me to sleep early and wake up early to study instead of burning the midnight oil.

Besides, I'm not a stress-eat person. I'm a stress-sleep person >.<

After my alarm rang at 4:30a.m, I snoozed it then spent half an hour on the bed thinking about all the quotes I could include in my essays. Yeah, I have to plan ahead so that I don't go through writer's block in the middle of writing.

At 5:30a.m, I finally decided to get off the bed and freshen up. THen I took my papers down to study some more downstairs. Made myself an Enercal and took my supplements. When my brother finally got his lazy rear off the bed, he showered and changed then we finally left for college.

At 7:30a.m -.-

Trust my brother to be an ass.

We reached college at 7:45a.m, miraculously. I went to the library then continued studying. Nongnutt was there so we studied together. I told her my analysis of all the past years' questions and told her that equity and delegated legislation are the 99.9% topics that would come out in our test.

When Pain came later, the studied with us too. So did Beats. Then again, the only problem that guy has is that he can't seem to finish his essays in time. If he could, he would beat me flat.

I think O.O

Studying all the way from 4:30a.m was friggin' tiring and by the time Prabha came at 9 something, I was so exhausted. Went down to the canteen and ate a plate of nasi lemak + egg + veggie and did not buy iced Milo.

I know, right? I just realised too.

Well, thinking back, I only had RM5 in my wallet then so, I couldn't buy much even if I wanted to.

When we finished eating, we talked to Ostrich for a while then went back up to the library. Studied some more. Felt like sleeping some more. Tested Pain and Nongnutt. Tested Prabha and chatted with Beats.

Ostrich came in soon and we chatted some more, talking about various topics, including a guy's new haircut. I got to know something really interesting about Mr New Haircut. Told Nongnutt not to tell anyone else though: didn't want to distract everybody from studying.

We finally 'closed up shop' at 12:29p.m because we were supposed to be outside the hall half an hour before our exam started. Got my ID, IC and Statement of Entry ready, then went up to the hall.

Was absolutely nerve-wracking waiting to go in. All of us got the jitters and it didn't end until we sat down and it sank in that we were finally sitting for the monster paper.

Our first AS Level paper for Cambridge.

I make it sound like an adventure -.-

It's not.

Thankfully, everything we studied came out. Well, at least, the stuff I studied came out. Did SI, Equity and DL.

When the paper ended at 2:30p.m, 'relief' was the only thing I felt. No other words could describe that joy and no-longer-existent fear that I previously had in my heart.

Bleghh~

Unfortunately, I still have Paper 2 to worry about.

Came back with Pain today because I had to tend to an emergency. Upon reaching home, I steamed siew mai, fish balls wrapped in fu chuk and went out to buy chicken rice to go.

After eating, I watched Chris Rock, Detective Conan's 13th movie and then resigned to drafting today's post. I won't be able to properly blog until after my exams are over, but I will still try to update once in a while >.<

That's about it, then.

~04/10/2013~

Today's million-dollar question: Did you study today?

*          *          *

Ola :)

Today I didn't go to school.

Well, honestly speaking I haven't been going to school for two days now so I hardly think it makes a difference. Anyway, I skipped for a good cause, right?

-.-

Anyways, I woke up at 11 something near to 12 today. Why? 'Cause I only slept at 4 something the night before. I was studying at one point, and then I reverted to reading Dance in the Vampire Bund. It's actually a really nice manga, if you exclude all the graphic scenes with lots of beheadings and boobs, that is.

Seriously speaking, I wouldn't mind if they just drew the outline, but the mangaka went into details, so.. -.-

Also, I slept in the music room today. I wasn't about to go upstairs and risk my aunt waking up. She'd just lecture me to no end and talk my ears until I go deaf. So yes, I stayed downstairs.

Upon waking up, I went to freshen up and then use my laptop to do something. Unfortunately, I cannot remember what. I don't recall using it to watch stuff online, though.

Oh yes, I was watching the downloaded 11th and 12th movies of Detective Conan. Haha. I liked them both, and both for the same reason: Ran and Shinichi. They're just so adorable together. Gave me a surprise, though, when I was watching the 12th movie, because Kuwashima Houko voiced Akiba Reiko. For those who are not aware of this, Kuwashima Houko is the one who also voiced Sango from Inuyasha, Allison from Allison & Lillia, Harminia from Gosick, and Chizuru from Hakuouki.

Yeah~ She's really popular.

And seriously, what's with all the Detective Conan cast ending up working together in Inuyasha again? Totosai, Myoga, Inuyasha and Sango made appearances in Detective Conan before acting again in Inuyasha. That's so cool, right?

I think Kaede was in Detective Conan too. Haha.

No wait, that was in Fushigi Yuugi.

Anyways, at around 12 something, if I'm not mistaken, my mom, aunt and I went to Tosaya for lunch. Had the sukiyaki beef set and an orange juice. Didn't get complimentary ice cream this time though :'(

When we came back, I went to bathe before continuing the Detective Conan movies. By 5 something I was done and I went out to buy chicken rice for dinner at around 6:20p.m. While eating I watched episodes of My Wife & Kids as well as Law of Ueki. Poured myself a glass of iced water and Milo.

What? Just to fill me up, you know?

After eating, I washed my cups et cetera, et cetera then did Law revision. Studied up on delegated legislation since that seems to be coming out every year lately. Gotta brush up on Appeals, Sentencing and ADR as well if I'm going to nail the first paper.

Wish me luck.

May I not get distracted by all the interesting new anime from the fall season. Inhale... Exhale...

-.-

Watched a few more episodes of Law of Ueki before finally deciding to draft my post for today. I'm pretty much just lazy to do this, but I wanna remember everything that happens in the future so... bear with me >.<

That's about it, then.

痛いですよ!!!

Today's million-dollar question: What's your favourite Disney cartoon?

*          *          *

Ola :)

Sorry I didn't update for two days. I have been... pre-occupied, to say the least. And besides, nothing interesting happened during.

On the other hand, I woke up at 7:15a.m. Nope, I wasn't late for college.

Why? 'Cause I wasn't going to college.

Why again? 'Cause today was the day of my driving exam.

O.O

Drank lemon for breakfast today. Got a stomach ache because it was cold. Hey, anything cold before 9a.m gives me severe pains, okay? Thankfully, I still had time to evacuate my bowels before Betsy came to fetch me.

When she did, I saw there were two other passengers. The one seated next to me was another 18-year-old girl, but the one riding shotgun was an older person. At first, I thought it was a guy because that person had like a boy's haircut and also quite a long upper torso.

As I concluded, though, it was a girl.

I don't think I need to tell you how I confirmed that.

After I got into the car, Betsy went to fetch another girl before finally going to Surfine. There, we got to know our serial numbers as well as which session we were in. I was in the second session, scheduled at 10:30a.m, as were the first 2 girls. The third girl was in the first session.

While waiting, since it was only 9 o'clock at the time, I went to the cafeteria and had an iced Milo. Cost me RM1.80. After that I got a choco bun worth RM0.60, but I ate it elsewhere because some assholes started smoking.

At 10a.m, we went to register ourselves. Then we just chatted until it was our turn. Apparently, the older girl who was with us was the same age as my sister. Due to some circumstances, she couldn't take her license until now. Also, I didn't really have a good opinion of her, but I'll explain that later.

T'was nerve-wracking waiting for our turn. The first test was the parking, 3-point-turn and slope. Honestly, I was a little scared with the slope because the day before, when I was practicing, I started making quite a lot of mistakes. No surprise, I was so anxious when it was my turn. I calmed myself down, though, and in the end, it went off without a hitch.

After taking my form, I got back into the car and drove to do my parking and 3-point-turn test. As with the slope, things went off without a hitch, which made me so immensely happy. After the 3-point-turn, I drove up to the officer's pondok, but unfortunately you're not exactly allowed to do that. So I drove all the way back to the slope place, parked the car, then ran to the officer. He stopped me halfway, though, because apparently it wouldn't help even if I ran because the line for the next part of the test – the road test, that is – would take a really long time to clear.

Should have taken his advice -.-

The line was so friggin' long: not to mention some officers took a lunch break right smack in the middle of testing the examinees.

Bleghh~

During that immense amount of time, I found out that the girl who was my sister's age, Royce, had failed the slope test. The reason, apparently, was that she had jerked just a little bit to the back before going over. To tell you the truth, I didn't see anything wrong with that. Especially if you didn't bribe the dude to pass you. You see, she had not paid to 'guarantee' her chances of passing. So, I wasn't really surprised when she failed.

But that's not the reason why I didn't have much of an opinion of her, it's because she started swearing a lot. I mean, yeah, the system here is run by complete idiots, but you don't have to persistently tell me that. And it's not like complaining about it will change your fail into a pass so what the hell?

Frankly speaking, if you had carefully done the whole slope thing, you wouldn't have had to jerk behind before going over. Otherwise how do you think I pulled it off? Magic?

She had good intentions, though, so I just entertained her while she ranted on and on.

Found out the other 18-year-old girl passed after just the slope test because she paid the bribe.

I know, right?

When it finally came to our turn at 1 something, I was getting nervous again. Hey, I didn't really like the road test because I didn't like memorising the signs. Plus, the officer I was assigned to was – in one polite word – a dick.

But I shan't regale you with my reasons why.

Thankfully, I passed the test with a whopping 17/20. When I got back to the other girl, I found she had passed with the same marks too. The older girl, however, failed once again.

Truthfully speaking, I can still understand how she felt it was unsatisfied with why she failed at the slope. However, her reason for this time's failure I found could not justify her anger with why she was failed.

According to her, she had slowed down at the T-junction just after where we were supposed to get into the car. However, seeing there were no cars on the left or right, she did not stop at the junction. Therefore, they failed her.

You can't blame them, can you? I don't care how it's applied in practice, but when in Rome, you do as the Romans do. Don't think that just because it's acceptable out in the real world, it's allowed within the confines of Surfine.

Wow, that rhymed O.O

:P

That aside, after all that was settled, I went home and bought lunch at Kam Hei's and then ate while watching episodes of Kim Possible.

Haha. I'm at that phase again.

At 5:30p.m, I changed into my gym wear and headed out to the photostat shop to drop off a Psychology book I wanted copied for both Pain and I. My brother then got me and we went to Target Fitness.

Workout was intense today, with plenty of Pilates, oblique exercises, push-ups, leg presses, chest presses and so on. I was just a pile of blubber at the end of my personal training.

And then I did Zumba O.O

What I did was abuse to my own person.

There were new songs and new dance routines; my brain couldn't process them fast enough and my body did not want to do what my brain was signalling them to do. Not to mention, some of the dance moves weren't exactly fat-people-friendly.

Bleghh~

I really was a massive pile of blubber by the time I stopped at 7:30p.m. I had a good workout, but I hated the soreness in my body. My non-existent waist was screaming.

At 8p.m, we reached home and I ate with my brother at Wai Kei. Collected my photostatted book as well as my mother's, then came back and bathed. Felt awesome, by the way. I then began watching a few Kim Possible episodes before deciding to draft my post for today.

I will stop here then, but expect a review soon >.<

~27/09/2013~

Today's million-dollar question: How often are you sincerely sorry for what you say you are?

*          *          *

Ola :)

This post is really late because I only started typing it at 1:41a.m. Yes, technically I'm supposed to be asleep now, but since I'm trying to be as faithful to my word as possible, here I am >.<

Anyway, I had college today so at 6:45a.m, I woke up and freshened up, then left for Brickfields. Our first subject was Law so we had a very fun and heated discussion about the procedure of sentencing as well as a Paper 2 question on appeals.

Two hours later, Lex and I took the monorail to Times Square where we went restaurant-hunting for where we should celebrate Prabha's belated birthday. Went to a few places and narrowed the options down to Bar.B.Q Plaza or Vivo American Pizza & Panini. I was actually more keen on the former choice but Prabha wanted to have Asian cuisine so we decided on the latter.

Either way, we bought three slices of cake from Secret Recipe before that: Chocolate Fudge, Chocolate Indulgence and Black Forest. I assumed she would like Black Forest.

Lesson learnt: never assume.

At Vivo, Lex and I ordered the Ocean Discovery dish and a barbecue pizza. Shared the Choco Brownie Mallo drink with Dellie because it was way too expensive to drink by myself -.-

Haha~

Not to mention, I forgot to bring my wallet so binging was the last thing on Earth I wanted to do.

*Pause*

Aiya~ Sorry, sorry, my dad and brother had just come back from D'Balcony so I couldn't risk them seeing me still up. Heehee~

Hey, at least I wasn't doing anything bad.

Anyways, after eating, the waitresses brought out the cake, we sang Prabha the birthday song, gave her the laminated drawing, and then proceeded to talk and talk and talk and talk about random stuff. Of course, she was very surprised and glad.

Thank God.

After footing the bill, we went our separate ways: Dellie and Lex went to Pavilion to catch a movie since they didn't have any more lessons whereas Prabha, Pain and I still had Accounts class and Psychology class respectively.

So we went back. Got really irritated while I was watching the first Detective Conan movie. Maybe because that person was outside, which pretty much distracted me. Had to get Pain to close the door because I didn't wanna hear the conversation.

As usual, I hate myself for that.

But cutting back to what else happened, during Psychology, we revised our journals and I forced myself to be a little more "good" so I let our lecturer check my work after I finished. I normally wouldn't let our Psychology lecturer check my answers because...

Well... I'll just leave that up to your imagination XP

When lectures officially ended, I followed Pain to her car and we went back to her place. Ate porridge for dinner. Wasn't the usual kind of porridge, though. This one was a little darker than the conventional porridge and the most unconventional thing about it was that I liked it O.O

Yeah, I know.

After that, I continued watching the second Conan movie until her driver came back home before I finally left for home. Upon reaching home, I went to bathe then continued where I left off on my laptop. That's pretty much all I did, with occasional switches to revising for my exam which is coming up in a week.

I'm gonna die~~

Good news is, I'm most likely going to be able to keep my scholarship. The bad news is, I pretty much did badly in every subject this time except for Business. Even my Literature marks fell because my fourth paper was big fat whop. I did splendidly for my third paper, though. Surprised myself,

If only my fourth paper were as fantastic too.

Oh, I also spent a good few hours (maybe a couple) on a horrible manga that I will be sure to review later on. It was such a waste of my sleep-time just because I wanted to finish it. It started off alright, but...

Ah, I'll just type it in the review in the next post.

And that's about it, then :)

狐ちゃんの音はなんですか?

Today's million-dollar question: What does the fox say?

*          *          *

Ola :)

Yay, two posts in a row~ :P

Anyways, today I had a shitty morning. Literally. Woke up at 6a.m, which was half an hour before my alarm was supposed to ring, because I had to go to the toilet. Sat there for a good half hour (thank God I switched my alarm off before that) before I was done and proceeded to freshen up.

Unfortunately, the episode didn't end there. Right after I put my pants on, I had to take them off again to go to the toilet.

Felt like a shit-generating machine -.-

Honestly speaking, it should be disturbing to disclose all this personal stuff here, but what the heck XD

That aside, after getting out a second time, I went downstairs and made myself a cup of Milo (Oh yes, forgot to mention my mom finally let me buy one packet of Milo. I will treasure and use it sparingly).

Again, unfortunately, my stomach ache came back and I had to rush upstairs to relieve myself. Felt like puking at one point, but tried my best to hold it in. No matter what, I had to go to college today to get the drawing from Lex so...

Yeah~

After all that, my brother and I finally left home for college. Upon reaching, I went to the place outside the library where there were empty seats (since the rooms weren't open yet). Not long after I arrived, Pain did and told me that I scored the highest for Law in my class.

Should I be happy?

Under normal circumstances, I would be, but a lot of my classmates did not finish the first paper, so it doesn't really count.

I have to work harder for my second paper, 'cause that's where it pulled me down the most.

Soon after Pain arrived, Prabha came and we wished her Happy Birthday. Of course, I lied and said that I "left her present at home" so I would give it to her the next day. Mwakaka.

The classrooms were opened by the time we exchanged greetings, so we went to class. English Literature started soon. Discussed Richard III today and then had three questions to do. However, I was so fixated on trying to get the drawing from Lex that I wasn't really paying attention in class -.-

Eventually, I got it during our ten-minute break and Pain managed to get everybody to secretly sign it while I distracted Prabha.

It was so friggin' exhausting.

After Literature, we had Law, so we went to our next classroom and listened to "The Fox Song" by Ylvis (courtesy of Ostrich -.-) while waiting for our lecturer. When he came in, he listened to the song too. Haha.

He liked it, though, but minus the animal effects, duh -.-

Hey, seriously speaking, I like the song too, especially the howling and bridge part. I just wished they had cut out all the ridiculous "ahee-ahee-ahee" and "ring ding ding ding".

Sigh~

Halfway through class we had our half-an-hour break, which I spent going downstairs with Prabha so Pain could get everyone to sign on the drawing paper. Wanted to grab an ice-cream soda but Prabha didn't bring her wallet down and neither did I, so we just walked back up solemnly with Pain, whom had come down to join us too XP

At 12:30p.m, we went back home. I photostatted the drawing so I could do something fancy with it whilst waiting for 2 something to come so I could go for my driving practice. Had a brief headache at one point, though. Felt like barfing and fainting all at the same time.

-.-

When 2p.m came, so did my instructor, which was surprising because he was normally always late.

Scratch that.

He was always late.

Drove halfway from Surfine's office to the driving place. He took me through routes A and B before I ran through a few rounds of my parking, 3-point turns and the slope thingy. After that, I drove back home.

Feels nice XD

Astonishingly enough, my headache had gone by the time I came back. I was worried I might get a seizure while driving, but obviously I was over-thinking it.

Bathed after I arrived home and then proceeded to embellishing the already-awesome drawing by Lex. While I was doing so, my dad Whatsapp-ed us on our newly established "Family" group chat (created by His Truly), asking whether we wanted to go to Publika.

Duh, whaddaya think I said?

Thankfully, I managed to laminate the drawing by the time my dad wanted to go to Publika. Wasn't easy, but I succeeded >.<

At D'Balcony, I ordered the mushroom bruschetta, Al'Fredo spaghetti and a shandy. Mwakaka. I was sharing everything, though -.-

My dad ordered a Caesar Salad whereas my brother had the Carbonara.

Bleghh~

Really filling. Was thinking of getting Hot & Roll, but I couldn't without exploding into a million pieces so I decided against it.

Sniff sniff.

My mom had asked me to get Japanese salad dressing and fish flakes from BIG for her so that's how I spent my next 45 minutes. Sadly, they didn't sell it. Well, at least that's what I deduced, because every time I asked the staff about where I could find Japanese salad dressing, they kept pointing me to the same place, which I had already checked myself before going to them -.-

Ugh~

Same with the fish flakes. One woman even brought me dried salted fish, thinking that's what I wanted. The other one just kept bringing me tuna.

Hello? If I wanted dried salted fish or tuna spread, I would've asked for exactly that -.-

Meh~

Gave up and went back up, where I spent the next half hour scanning through Ryan Higa's Skitzo videos. Battery died when I was watching Ylvis perform "The Fox Song" on Ellen's show -.-

Thank God my dad finally decided to go home after just 10 minutes. I was gonna die of boredom waiting, especially since I wanted to continue watching Conan :P

So here I am, loading Conan episodes while blogging. Successfully managed to download the first three Conan movies, but I'm accumulating them so I can watch them in one go :P

You know, Conan marathon >.<

Will go to sleep soon, so this is where I stop for now :)

新しいインタネット

Today's million-dollar question: Do people like to be liked?

*          *          *

Ola :)

I know, I know, so much for "I'll update every day" -.-

Well, in my defense, my house was robbed of it's Internet connection for a few weeks and we only got UniFi installed today so...

At least I'm updating?

XP

Anyway, I woke up at 9:15a.m today because I was supposed to wait for the TM people to come. Yes, I skipped college. But it was for a cause that was both known to my parents so yeah, it's not like I did it without their knowledge or anything.

So after waking up at 9:15a.m, I freshened up and everything, then went downstairs and plonked on the couch again because my eyelids felt very heavy. Soon after, Mom made lemon + honey and had me drink it -.-

Bleghh~

Sour shit.

After that, I continued plonking on the couch until 10:30a.m, which was when the UniFi people came. Thank God too, because they had already failed to do so on the 22nd because there were no installers available on that day.

Tch, and they didn't bother to tell us.

That aside, the UniFi people took about an hour to set everything up. After doing so, I tested the WiFi out on my laptop and lo and behold, I could surf the Internet~!!

:)

Started loading Conan episodes, obviously. *Oh, I guess I haven't mentioned I'm currently hooked onto watching Detective Conan: Case Closed. Trust me, I had my doubts, but they were cleared after further investigation XP*

Downloaded torrents for the movies too, because most of the lovey-dovey scenes with Ran are in the movies XD

Heehee~

Sucker for anime romance, remember?

I had an agenda for the moment the Internet was set up, but for some reason, I can't remember what it is, but no worries, I know for a fact that it has something to do with reviewing anime.

I am behind for Suisei no Gargantia, and I want to review Nerawareta Gakuen as well as Hyouka while I'm at it. Don't know how long that'll take, but bear with me?

I also just browsed through the Fall season's anime selections and I have some mentally bookmarked already. Also, the new Book for the Legend of Korra is out, but I want to download them all at once, so I'm refraining from watching each episode one-by-one now.

Heehee~

Lots have been happening in my life since I last posted anything significant -.-

My exams are coming up, but I can't get into the study-mode. Must be because it's not a few days before yet -.-

Bleghh~

But anyway, back to how my day went, I continued watching Conan episodes while eating the chicken rice I brought back from the stall opposite my house. Not long after, my parents returned from lunch with my grandpa so we got ready to go to Target Fitness for our cycling session.

Yeah~ I go to the gym now -.- It hurts, sometimes, physically of course, but I have to remind myself that it's all for a good cause, and it'll be temporary as long as I watch my food and go to the gym regularly for now.

-.-

After our session ended at 8 something and we went home, but not before stopping by Viva Home, because my brother wanted to buy Subway. Surprisingly, my mom allowed me to have one too, so I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki. Upon reaching home, I went to bathe.

When I had done so, I went to scramble eggs for my aunt, brother, mother and I. Then, we all had fruit salad for dinner.

I know, I know, so healthy, right?

Yeah, so after dinner, I started chatting with Lex on Whatsapp on the piece of artwork we were planning to give to our friend as a present. Her drawing is so nice~ I squealed internally when I first saw her finished work.

Now I wish that was gonna be mine -.-

Bleghh~

I think I've written enough for my day already. I will try to update tomorrow if I'm up to it :P

Suisei no Gargantia Ep 8

Whoo~!!

I know, I know. This episode is WAY overdue and I won't make any excuses – I was too lazy to review any episodes. However, after the final episode came out two days ago, I've decided to see this through and review the remaining episodes.

So you can expect a lot of Gargantia episode reviews after this. But for now, here's:

Suisei no Gargantia Ep 8

Suisei no Gargantia
Separation

Alright, so where did the anime leave off the previous episode?

Oh right, Red decided to leave Earth and Captain Fairlock suddenly got a heart attack (or a stroke, I can't really tell).

Of course, Ridget and the other crew members are worried as hell, especially since it doesn't look good for the Captain.

And, as I had predicted, in the previous episode review, Fairlock really bit the dust.

T'was really hard on Ridget since he was like a second father to her after her own father, the previous Fleet Captain, passed on.

You gotta admit, it's not news, though.

After news spread that Captain Fairlock had kicked the bucket, everyone prepared themselves for his funeral.

Ridget was fussing about something, but I can't for the life of me remember what about.

All I know was that she wasn't prepared to say her goodbyes.

Back with Captain Flange, Ridget was trying to clarify his plans to follow Pinion on his crazy venture to explore the Hideous' base.

Flange was determined to do what was planned, although Ridget wasn't particularly pleased.

During the funeral, many gathered and shed tears for the fallen captain.

I'm just grasping at straws here but I'm gonna go with my idea that it's sand they're filling the coffin with?

I'm guessing it was customary to say a few things after they put their fill in the coffin.
Returning to Ridget, she was busy gazing at her black funeral robe as the funeral was proceeding.

Obviously she had issues with his sudden and abrupt death (although considering his medical condition and age, it's not really sudden and abrupt at all).

She then picked up a family picture of when she was younger. She looked really cute in her small dress.

Liked her hairstyle too :P

As you can imagine, Amy was bothered with Red's previous outburst that he wanted to leave Earth.

Hell, I would be too if a hunk like that was leaving me :P
Amy couldn't bring herself to approach him, though, so she just stared off into space as she absorbed everything.

I guess I forgot to mention that Melty, one of Amy's friends, was leaving with Flange because her grandpa was part of his crew.

Saaya suggested Amy follow them so she wouldn't be separated with Red but Amy declined, to Saaya's relief.

Meanwhile, Bellows was consoling Ridget.

When Amy went home, Bebel asked her if Red was really leaving.

The topic caught Amy off-guard and she started crying because she knew she couldn't possibly do anything to stop him from going.

Bebel was really upset too, though I'm not sure if it over Red leaving or the fact that it's causing his sister pain.

Shortly after, Bebel approached Red while he was carving flutes again, next to Chamber.

Obviously, it was going to be about whether he was going to leave Gargantia. Red decided that he would follow Pinion and his crew to salvage the home-base of the Hideous, since he couldn't leave Earth even if he wanted to.

Just as the people of Gargantia were going to push Fairlock's coffin into the ocean, Ridget finally came to her senses and rushed to meet him one last time.

She expressed her deep and heartfelt gratitude towards his constant care and then said goodbye
After the coffin was released into the ocean, Ridget addressed the people of Gargantia as the new Fleet Captain.

Of course, this was all by Captain Fairlock's request. It's not like they decided overnight that she should be the captain.

With everyone's support, Ridget felt she could survive with the burden of being captain.

I also like her new hairstyle XD

The next day (I'm assuming), Amy is gazing outside her window when she sees Red approaching their house.

She welcomes him in, of course. Turns out Red just wanted to say his final goodbyes to Amy and Bebel before leaving with Pinion.

Red also gave Bebel one of the flutes he carved. You know, because Red carves about a dozen of those every day -.-

As they leave on Flange's ship, Amy watches from the deck of Gargantia with heavy feelings whilst Ridget does so with mixed ones.

And that's how everything went down that week :)

Honestly speaking, the reason I was too lazy to review this was probably because it was really slow-paced and boring. I won't say that it's not a breath of fresh air not to have everything smacked into your face as the show progresses, but it felt like this episode was being filled in with unnecessary attempts to make Red stay by Amy and Bebel.

Not to mention, it was really predictable that it would be the two of them that asked him not to leave. I was half-hoping Bellows would try to make Red see sense because she felt very strongly about Pinion messing with the Hideous' hideout.

And I have a few questions: Where did they get the sand? And if everybody was disposed of like how the captain was, does that mean piles of coffins with dead people in them are at the bottom of the sea?

Just saying, they might wanna think this through the next time they plan some fancy funeral for someone important.

:P

Yeah, I know, it's pweety, isn't it?

This episode doesn't raise many questions, and I guess I'm grateful for that. And the fact that I thought it was boring doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad episode. I will say, however, that I thought Amy was overdoing it with the "I'm-so-sad-Red's-leaving" expressions.

Though, naturally, I'm not complaining. I love the two of them :P

Guess that's it, then. I'm glad I don't have to say I can't wait for the next episode because I'VE ALREADY WATCHED IT!! :P
