Sword Art Online Ep 6

Whoo~ It's the first time I'm reviewing episodes of currently-airing anime. But, since I figured it might increase traffic - and I'm in dire need of people to increase my Nuffnang income - I decided to review:

The 6th episode of Sword Art Online!!
(Click on the pictures to enlarge them)
And see Kirito's cuteness up close!! :P

Let's review what happened in the last episode:

During a meeting between guilds and players on March 6, 2024 on the 56th floor, Asuna, who has now become Vice Commander of the Knights of Blood Oath guild, proposes a plan to lure a boss they are fighting into a village but is opposed by Kirito, as the NPC villagers will be killed.

A month later on the 59th floor, Kirito is taking a nap until Asuna arrives, criticizing him for being lazy but he convinces her to relax as well. To thank him for guarding her while she was asleep, Asuna decided to buy lunch for him at a town on the 57th floor. However, they discovered a player killed, hanging outside the church, impaled with a spear.

As they both investigate, Kirito wonders how the player was killed in a safezone unless he was dueled by another player or someone has found an exploit to kill players. Yoruko, a girl who was a friend of the victim, Kains, saw someone behind Kains before he was hanged. Asuna and Kirito heads towards Egil's shop to help them find clues on the murder weapon, which Egil learns it's a custom made weapon by a player named Grimrock. Explaining what they discovered to Yoruko, she reveals how she and Kains are related to Grimrock.

Six months ago, she, Kains and Grimrock were part of a eight-man guild called the Golden Apple lead by Griselda, Grimrock's ingame wife. One day the guild acquired a rare ring and voted whether to use it or sell it, with three members, Yoruko, Kains and Schmit, now a member of the Holy Dragon Alliance, voting to use it. Griselda went out to sell the ring but was killed. Yoruko believes the killer is targeting the three of them as he suspect they were involved in Griselda's death.

After getting Schmit and explaining to him everything, Yoruko becomes paranoid, believing Griselda's ghost wants revenge against them. But Yoruko is killed after someone throws a dagger from outside.

*Taken straight off of Wikipedia. Credits go to them.

#End of review.

Anyways, so this episode resolves the problem by the end of it. Frankly speaking, I liked this episode a lot. It's cute, funny (it has its own kind of humour), and I loved the reasoning behind all the "murders". You'll understand when you watch it. But first, some screenshots:

Just a recap on what was shown in the 5th episode, which was the beginning of the mystery.

Aww~ Here Kirito and Asuna are eating her homemade bread. So they actually have expiry dates in SAO too??

The second box kinda looks as if he thinks it has poison, no? Haha.

Argh!! Dammit. It fell on the floor!! KI~RI~TO~!! :P

This is about halfway through the episode, but I shan't ruin the plot for you, eh? :)

Looks like he's gonna die, though O.O

Woo~ Kirito to the rescue!!

:P

Yes, I'm a sucker for him. He looks just SO DAMN CUTE in these pictures, no?

The dude in the second box (top right) is scared shitless. I can tell. Heehee.

Who wouldn't be?? He's so cute~~~ :P

This is when the LOSERS (HAHA) left. Isn't Kirito just SO cool?

*Melts*

Further into the episode, Asuna finally gets her chance to shine, rebutting the mastermind with her logic (which makes sense, by the way).

Possession is NOT a form of love.

Oooh~ They look dumbstruck, do they not?

I'm not gonna tell you why. You're gonna have to watch it yourself if you wanna know :)

This definitely was an awesome episode. Interest was sustained throughout the episode and it certainly made me think: What? Why? How? Who?

Everything was properly explained in the end. That's what I loved about this episode. Left no room for doubt with just a pinch of mystery towards the end of it.

But hey, if there's no mystery, then you wouldn't want more, right?? :P

I already can't wait for the next episode. Can you?

Alice's Teacup Madness FREE

From the developers of the Dash series (Hotel Dash, Diner Dash, Wedding Dash etc.) and their second latest - Avenue Flo, PlayFirst has come up with...

Alice's Teacup Madness!
(Click on the pictures to enlarge them)

Long story short, a girl named Alice follows a curious-looking bunny, falls into a hole and ends up in a completely different universe.

The only difference between the original and the one here is that the bunny actually stops and helps her. Apparently, the only way to get back is to earn enough money and get out.

The bunny then helps her by setting up a cafe and teaches her how to run it.

From here on out, it's pretty much the same as the Dash series with the serving of customers and all that :)

The first box is the loading thingymajingy. The second box (top) shows how much your goal is for the tutorial section as well as the expert goal

The bottom box is a screenshot of the tutorial. If you're new to how PlayFirst does their magic, then you'd probably need to go through it :)

It's still the tutorial thingy here. My advice is, be patient. The "Alice" now moves a little slower than Flo does in her other games but it gets better.

Still the tutorial here because this game series requires the usage of toppings (as you can deduce from the strawberry *or is it apple?* topping).

In the first level, you only go through with a single-flavoured tea and a single-shaped-mold pastry. When you get to other levels, you access other shapes and different coloured teas.

We're nearing the end of the tutorial already :)

Pretty much the same concept as Diner Dash and other Dash games - you get more points if you seat the characters where the colours match.

The Hatter was supposed to come next but I didn't want to ruin everything, so... :)

And that concludes the level as well as the tutorial! From this page, you can choose to upgrade straight to the FULL game for $4.99 or choose to continue with the trial first.

In the end, you still have to decide whether or not you want to pay because you only get to level 8 with the free trial. PlayFirst is like that. It's the only reason I hate it :P

All in all:

2/5 for Artwork. I hate the drawing. It's nothing like their previous works or better. It's 3D but the movements and character-drawings are so... -.-

2/5 for Storyline. Nothing interesting like the Dash series. For one, the story itself was based on Alice in Wonderland. They tried to change the ending a little but it didn't spark my interest.

4/5 for Items. I like the fact that you can boost Alice's speed in the middle of the game, albeit for a limited amount of time. It makes it so much easier to serve customers. There's also a "Serve" button for the food to instantly appear in front of their respective order-ers so as to save time. And they also have the usual decorative stuff.

3/5 for Extra Services. There's the guy at around level 6 who starts standing by the door to help you kick unhappy customers out before they leave on their own. Apparently you lose a lot less money by kicking them out the cafe first O.O I rated it 3/5 because I'd rather not let that happen :P

Despite all the low ratings and not-so-high ratings, I'd still get the full version if I have the chance. Even if the drawing's ugly, it doesn't affect the fact that it's an awesome game to play. I love PlayFirst and I'll always be on the look-out for new products.

:)

Find out more about the game here.

That's about it, then. CIAO!!

Dragon Wings FREE

Whoo~ Alright, this is a game app review for an iPad application called Dragon Wings. It's free ^.^ (obviously, otherwise I wouldn't have it.)

-.-
Basically, this is what you'll see once you click on the application.

Obviously, you click on "Play". You can choose to play their music in "Options" or decide to listen to your own music via your iTunes playlist.

"Shop" is where you can purchase more types of dragons of your choice like: Kids Mode, Super Dragon, Rock Dragon, Dragon Girl or power-ups like: Super Fireball or Multiple Fireballs.

"More Games" will direct you to a page where they advertise other free games by the same developers :)

This is how you play the game:
  1. Tap anywhere on the screen to start flying.
  2. Technically you hold your left finger against the screen when you want to stay up and release when you want to go back down.
  3. See the "+5"? That adds to how many fireballs you can spit (using your right finger).
  4. The fireball should look something like the fire thingy in the third box.
  5. It's used to get rid of obstacles like in the 4th box
  6. Under NO circumstances are you allowed to "land" or come into contact with the obstacles.
Otherwise:

Well, yeah, you get the picture.

:)

This is compatible with any iDevice like the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad as long as it satisfies the minimum requirement of iOS 4.0 or later.

Click here to visit the Apple website on the app for more details :)

Examples of In-App Purchases include:

  1. Rock Dragon$14.99
  2. Kids Mode$9.99
  3. Super Dragon$6.99
  4. No Ads$0.99
  5. 50 Multiple Fireballs$9.99
  6. Dragon Girl$4.99
  7. 30 Super Fireballs$9.99
  8. 15 Multiple Fireballs$3.99

So, yeah :) Not a bad game, really. I'd rate it 4/5 because it's really addictive and the dragon is so bloody cute. It can get irritating when you can't seem to clear the stage, though -.- But then again, which game isn't irritating that way?

:P

Happy flying! And remember to CLICK ON MY NUFFNANG ADS!! Please and thank you :)

Free Mori @ Publika, Solaris Dutamas (updated)

Picture curtesy of Google Images

Ohmigod, ohmigod, ohmigod, ohmigod, ohmigod, ohmigod, ohmigod, ohmigod.

I can't believe it.

I'm doing a food review?

It'll snow in M'sia tomorrow.

:P

Then again, to be fair, it's actually a bakery review, but argh~ Whatever. Wouldn't be the first time I did something weird out of the blue.

-.-

I also figured that doing everything aligned in the m i d d l e when writing any sort of review is easier on the eyes. Don't ask why. It's just like that.

-.-

Getting back to the subject of this post...

Free Mori sells a variety of pastries, ranging from cakes to tarts to biscuits, cookies and others of the like. These were on their display cases next to the till:
First box: small cakes on the first tray and sesame/chocolate long buns on the second tray
Second box: vanilla/choco cream puffs on the first tray and some sort of roll on the second tray
Third box: opera cakes on the first tray and some tarts on the second tray
Big box: danishes, donuts and a wide assortment of pastries I've never heard of before (:P)

These were on shelves by the wall, opposite the display cases:
First box: Lamington-shaped cakes
Second box: Almond/other-flavoured biscuits packed in tins on the first shelf, bread of different flavours on the second and other pastries on the third shelf
Big box: Choco long buns like the previous collage and other pastries next to it
They've also got a mini-cafe in the bakery!!
First box: list of drinks they serve
Second box: place to sit in the bakery
Third and fourth box: person-in-charge handing out samples of chocolate roll + raspberry filling to customers
Mom paying at the cashier:

And I took more photos of the cakes that were placed at the display window of Free Mori :)

I know, I know, fantastic, right? They've a great deal of cakes like the usual Black Forest, and coffee cakes, but they also have Sacher Tortes, Mori Matcha and mousse cakes.

All Free-Mori products are guaranteed no preservatives so they are best consumed within one or two days (at the most) of purchase. They are also both alcohol- and pork-free and therefore can be enjoyed by all who are intolerant or allergic or some other medical condition that restricts them from consuming alcohol and pork.

-.-

In short: I would walk till the ends of the Earth to get to Free Mori :)

カルマ?

Today's million-dollar question: Can one beat karma?

* * *

To whomever is bored enough to read this,

Ola :) How've you been? My family and I are doing fine here in M'sia. Hope you've been having marvelous days since forever.

Yes, I'm quite sure you might've guessed that I failed to attend school today. I can safely assure you that I did not do it knowingly. I was super tired, and the previous day in school did not make me yearn it any more.

Anyways.

Did not have breakfast today, mainly because I spent the whole of my morning helping the adults get the house prepared for another round of mini renovating. By the time I woke up, they were on their way, so my parents, aunt and I made haste.

Bleghh~ Sure was tough work getting the furniture etc. in my house wrapped up. Thankfully nothing had to be done in my sister's and the middle room or I'd have a LOT of cleaning up to do.

You should've seen it. You'd have thought we started World War III in our living room.

-.-

That aside, I had to help out plenty today. From wrapping our furniture and utensils in plastic to mopping and vacuuming the floor. My aunt and mom had to leave for work not long after too, so that doubled my workload.

Had lunch with my mom before that at the new Organic & Vegetarian shop though. Had the usual spaghetti and searing-hot soy milk drink because I wasn't allowed to have it cold.

:(

When my mom left, I took over her jon, helping Dad wrap the couches, tables, kitchenware et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Bought him chicken rice at 2:10p.m because he finally felt like eating. Bought myself a ham-cheese sandwich in the process.

On-and-off, however, I would sneak up to my parents' room to browse the Internet and App Store for anything nice to download to play. On my iPad.

Dude, trials are in two weeks.

SPM still seems so surreal. I'm going to regret this.

Had to cancel my Bio tuition today because of all the mess. And since this was going on till tomorrow, my Add Maths tuition had to be cancelled too.

Bleghh~

Halfway through work, I remembered that time travel Disney movie I watched from when I was a kid. It's called Time Kid and I really want to watch it again so if you know any websites that play it or if you have the DVD, please tell me!!

:P

Oi, it has a very interesting storyline, 'kay?

At around 5, I got around to vacuuming the area. Started from downstairs and worked my way up to my parents' room, then our room then finally, the living room (the one upstairs).

Mopped the floors upstairs after that, while listening to my iPad playliist with my current favourites. That would include 'Wish You Were Here', 'For Good', 'Titanium', 'Bad For Me', 'Kaze no Naka no Primrose' and 'Signal Graph' by Cody Simpson, Kurt&Rachel (from Glee), Sam Tsui&Kurt Schneider (their cover beats the original), Megan&Liz, Ceui and Annabel respectively.

:P

When I finished vacuuming the rooms, my dad came in and asked me to take the vacuum cleaner down. Originally, I said no.

You know how I feel that I believe in karma and that it can be a bitch sometimes?

Well, can karma be beaten?

'Cause when I was about to take it down (yes, obviously I would still do it: he's my dad), it fell and nearly crashed onto my feet.

That would've been karma. And it would've friggin' hurt.

However, and this is the funny part, I actually managed to catch it with my fore-and-middle finger JUST as it was about to fall on my foot. Almost instantly, I thought:
Picture curtesy of Google Images
Haha.

Paid for it in full after that, though, 'cause I slipped on my way out of the house for dinner.

That, however, was after I bathed and played another round of Dragon Wings. Will review that app as well as another I just downloaded some other time.

Had dinner at Summer Feels. I know, right? My dad said he would reward me for all the work I did today. I wanted Full House at first but he said it only applied if it was within the vicinity of our garden.

-.-

Ooh, what's even more surprising is the fact that I actually tried something other than Summer Grilled Chicken today!!

O.O

I know, right??

I had the Italian Cheese chicken today. It's not too bad, but I had to change the baked potatoes to mashed potatoes. Heehee. It was between that and the Malibu chicken (which had ham. The Italian Cheese chicken had... well... Italian cheese). Did the label-A-and-B-and-let-others-choose thing. Dad 'chose' the Italian Cheese chicken so... yeah :)

For my drink, I had Blue Mint. RM4.50. Not really worth it. I prefer water, really, but I don't like to order water anywhere if I have to pay for it.

-.-

My order came last because my brother and dad ordered from the fat dude (who sells his noodles right outside Summer Feels). Dad drank Tiger beer. Brother ordered iced chocolated, which came with chocolate rice on whipped cream.

*Whimpers*

Came back after dinner. Dad needed me to help him write a testimonial for someone but I told him I didn't know how to. So, he asked my brother to get his book on letter writing which he left in the office.

*Pause*

*Snorts*

Isn't that just so cute?? My dad has a book on letter writing! *Grins* When I asked him, "You have a book on letter writing?", he was like, "Yeah, of course!"

:P

Once I reached home, I went to the toilet than grabbed my stuff ad sat myself on my bed. Listened to 'Wei Dao' several times before resuming my playlist while I drafted my blog post for the day.

Well, then. This is where I must bid you farewell. Till I write again, that is :)

Yours sincerely,

~Lou~

* * *

Haha, tried another style today. T'isn't going to work, though. This letter-writing business is pretty much the same as my previous posts. I'll try hypothetical-style next time round :P

That's about it, then. CIAO!!

~09/08/2012~

Today's million-dollar question: Kai pei or kai hong?

* * *

Ola :)

Went to school today.

I know, I know. Humongous surprise there, right?

I reached at around 8:50++a.m, though. Not that it took me since 6:30a.m to reach school, but I woke up at 8:09a.m.

Why?

'Cause I can.

You see, thanks to my physician (cheh, "my physician") re-titrating my medicine, I'm forever dizzy and in the need of more sleep. It was my BM tuition teacher's idea to get her permission to ask the school to provide me with some leeway with regards to what time I should be in school.

As of the eighth of August, I'm allowed to come late to school as long as I reach before 9 o'clock.

Thus, 8:50++a.m.

My friends were more than shocked to see me. They were wondering why the hell I had come because the schedule was absolutely shitty.

Three periods of Add Maths. No History.

-.-

It was Physics by the time I arrived. The teacher taught, of course. She also relieved some of my classmates' anger(?) when she said that she'd take one of our History periods to continue where she'd left off.

Many asked her to take both, but since she was leaving school early, it could not be done.

Our fourth period was Moral, but our teacher failed to make an appearance so I just spoke to Dellie about nothing in particular. Spoke to Chucky about 'Adrian' then went to the library for recess.

Dellie wasn't feeling well so she didn't eat much. My mom had packed croissants from Free Mori so I didn't go hungry.

After recess, I had BM. The teacher gave us work (which I completed before going to the toilet). I was the one of the few who actually did the work. The others were too busy talking about shit.

There was one period of English after that but since nobody in class did the model test paper that our teacher gave (some 'forgot to bring' their papers whilst the rest just didn't bother), the teacher just handed me one copy (because she probably knows I'll do it) and sat around talking to the students about stuff.

We were expecting our Physics teacher after English was over but to our surprise (and some's delight), nobody turned up. Not even our Add Maths teacher.

So, grabbing the opportunity, I took out my NST notebook and wrote about random stuff I wanted to blog about. The two previous posts are the products of my random-ness.

Haha.

Made use of my sister's advice to include pictures since my posts are always so dull and plain. Can't help it if I can't find the right pictures -.- And I can't do food reviews because I don't have a phone with good camera qualities like the IPHONE.

-.-

Bleghh~

Anyways, I didn't even realize that all three periods had gone past and NO ONE came in. I wasted 2 hours just writing in my notebook, whatthefrick.

Packed my bags then waited downstairs for my mom. Borrowed Jus' phone to call her since we came out earlier than 2:30p.m. She arrived about half an hour later.

Contemplated where to bring me for lunch on our way back. Decided on the In-House Cafe but it was closed, so we had to go to Tesco instead.

You see, my mom wanted to get some sundries so she said I could eat at Old Town, Pappa Rich, In-House Cafe, Tesco (whichever restaurant in it), or even Leisure Mall (because they had Giant there).

Originally, I wanted Old Town, but we decided on In-House because I'd never been there before. It was closed, however, so I thought we could go to Leisure Mall because I wanted Chatime. Last minute, though, my mom decided it was too far.

Couldn't turn into Old Town because the road was blocked and there was no way to turn back out and get to Old Town. So, we decided it was fate to eat somewhere in Tesco.

It boiled down to either Cravings or Pak Hailam's Kopitiam.

Mom would've preferred the latter but there were better discount offers at the former, so it was settled.

Had some chicken dish. Mom had omega soft-boiled eggs with bread (with kaya and butter). Drank water. Mom drank cappuccino, I think. Can't remember.

Shared a few bites of her bread whilst waiting for mine. Quite unfortunately, they had gotten my order wrong so they had to do it all over again.

And I had to wait all over again.

-.-

Thankfully my mom ate so I didn't die of starvation.

Footed the bill then went to Tesco for sundry-shopping. After that, we went back home. Used my iPad for a while then bathed and kept an eye on the people who were drilling holes in our house.

*For reasons I cannot disclose here*

Had porridge and chicken for dinner. Not bad. I love the porridge nearby my house. The dude's really nice too. Gave us more porridge for the same price for one.

And he makes the best chicken sauce EVER.

Slept pretty late because I was watching the Olympics with my parents and aunt. The synchronized swimming team from Russia was absolutely stunning. Their stunts were awesome! They deserved their score of 98++%.

Saw a few Rhythmic Gymnastic routines from Germany, Ukraine, Italy and Spain too before finally turning in for the night.

That's about it, then. CIAO!!

~08/08/2012~

Today's million-dollar question: Does medicine have an expiry date?

* * *

Shallow breathing. Temporary inability - or rather, discomfort - in breathing through the nose. Fingers wrapped around the throat. Sudden and repeated forced exhalations followed by a violent release of air from the lungs.

All the symptoms of an individual suffering from a sore throat.

Frustrated with the unexpected event, the 17-year-old turns over in her bed and resumes her coughing fit. Her head is beginning to hurt now and she contemplates heading over to her parents' room to tell them.

About a coughing fit?? How much more spoilt can you get?

After deciding against it, the girl grabs the 750ml tumbler she had placed by the side of her bed the night before and drinks it in big gulps.

The tingling feeling in her throat continues all the way down her trachea, causing her to wince. Damn this throat, she curses silently.

Realising she had not heard her alarm yet, she reaches for her phone and presses on the volume up button, nearly doubling over when she reads 3:27a.m on the screen.

GODDAMN this throat, she curses some more.

The girl shoves her Sony Ericsson phone under her pillow then shuts her eyes. Might as well try sleeping while it's still early.

And, despite the persistent throat infection, she eventually does.

It is 6:12a.m the next time she checks her phone.

Great, late already.

Kicking herself off her bed, though very reluctantly, she makes her way to her parents' room to wash up. Just as she was about to open the door, it opens on its own, revealing her mother on the opposite side with a serious case of the bedhead.

*There's a lot of unnecessary details here so I'll spare you them*

As her mother parks outside her school, she turns to her daughter and asks, "Are you sure you can go to school?"

"I'm already here, right?"

"Yeah, I know, but I don't want you to go if you can't take it. I can deliver the letter myself."

There's a slight pause.

"So, you really can't go?"

Slowly, the girl shakes her head, which was still heavy from the torturous night before. Nodding one of acknowledgement, the woman takes the letter from her Affin Bank bag and exits the vehicle, instructing her daughter to lock all the doors as she does so.

She does not keep time and takes the opportunity to sleep, so she is not sure how long her mother was in discussion with her teachers, but it's 8:15a.m by the time her mother appears again.

There is a short exchange of sentences between two teachers, the mother and the daughter before they finally leave.

"We need to give them something for Hari Raya," the mother says.

"Some form of bribery?"

"No! It's because they're so understanding towards your condition. This will be a thank you gift."

The girl does not reply, too tired to say anything. Upon reaching their humble abode, the girl makes haste; eating her San Moulin sandwich as fast as she can so she could sleep once more.

Setting her phone to ring at 10a.m, she drifts off to sleep again. Her alarm does little - if not nothing - to help as she goes down to continue sleeping on the couch all the way until noon, when lunch came.

Lunch is decided by her mother that day, to be at the side stall opposite their house. She does not mind; she has an affinity for their marmite chicken. Sadly, though, thanks to her cough problem, she's not allowed to drink her usual iced Milo.

Therefore, under the watchful eyes of her parents, she drinks a cup of lukewarm water. Thankfully, the food makes up for the lack of the iced Milo, as well as her marvelous aunt, whom after lunch, brings her over to a different shop to buy ice cream.

RM19.80 and a bagful of ice cream + chewing gum later, her aunt pays a visit to the 'buy number' shop next door to settle some business before leaving for home.

Not 10 minutes after they return, her parents leave for Perak to attend the funeral of her dad's friend's mother in Kampung Tapah.

Meanwhile, she sits in the music room, a cup of ice cream in hand and a pile of BM tuition homework in front of her.

Time to get to work.

And so, whilst listening to Cody Simpson's 'Wish You Were Here', she buries herself deep into her book.

It's 7:15p.m by the time she realizes she only had about an hour to eat. Hurriedly, she opens the door and stands over her brother, whom was supposed to get her dinner.

"Oi, please buy my food now. I have tuition at 8:15p.m!" her voice resonates in his ears, irritating him. He had been sleeping peacefully until she rudely woke him up.

To her annoyance, he just turns over so that his back faces her and sleeps some more. Pissed, the girl pays him no heed and instead walks back into the music room to finish her work.

She thanks her aunt mentally when, about 15 minutes later, she orders him to buy their dinner. At around 7:50p.m, dinner is served.

However, all is not over for her, for she had BM tuition at 8:45p.m with her teacher. Lesson seems to drag on till forever before they decide to call it a night.

In the confines of her room, she takes out a pen and her NST book, to record as much as she could of that day before her mother comes in to switch the lights off.

Whoo~ It's not every day I decide to write like this throughout he whole bloody entry. Most likely, this will be the last time. This was actually a trial thing and I'm pretty sure it won't work because I had to cut quite a few things out.

Like, for instance, the fact that I ate another ice cream stick before eating dinner. Oh, and also the incident where I watched the second episode of CSI: New York and caught up to Sword Art Online and Arcana Famiglia.

Haha.

Oh well, at least I tried.

That's about it, then. CIAO!!

Today's million-dollar question: Why do people seem to like music that make their internal organs bleed?

*          *          *

Ola :)

Woke up at about 7 something but I only got up at plus-minus 8 o'clock. Mind's fuzzy because those are events from a couple o' weeks ago. I remember feeding Snuffles and the mutt at around 9 though.

Breakfast was at Old Town White Coffee. Reason? No idea. My sister was feeling indulgent, I guess. I had the usual bbq chicken (or was it pork? O.O) rice with egg and drank orange juice - because my sister was against my JO07 drink -.-

After breakfast, we came back. Grabbed the clothes, cleaned our dogs' droppings and a whole load of stuff. By the time we were done, my sister and I were tired, frustrated and a bunch of other adjectives that mean pretty much the same thing.

O.O

Not to mention, we stank of poop, curtesy of Snuffles and Pepper.

Not too sure about what happened for the rest of the afternoon but at 4-something p.m, the whole famiglia left to Batu Caves to visit my ku po.

Was absolutely satisfying because - as was her tradition - she prepared a feast for us consisting of homemade marble cake, croissant (not homemade) and curry puffs. Ooh, and she made orange squash too.

-.-

I know, I know. I could've sworn I gained a lot of weight just from one visit.

Haha.

We reminisced in our memories that evening. Lots of stories from when they were young resurfaced to settle themselves into our mental time capsule. We talked of my late grandma and her times as my grandaunt's daughter's driving mentor.

Plenty of laughter filled the hall despite the slight sadness in the atmosphere when we were reminded of my late grandma.

She was spoken of with plenty of love and respect, though.

Anyways, at about 6p.m, after a firm promise to come back when the holidays dawn, we set a course towards Mid Valley.

Well, we ended up in Gardens, but that counts too, right? Once we entered, my sister and I headed straight to the Mid Valley-Gardens bridge to Mid Valley.

Why?

One word: Probiotics.

Snuffles ran out of it a couple of weeks ago so she's been without it since then. That's not good because her stomach's disappearing again.

Yeah~ So we made our way to Pets Wonderland to get the Probiotics. We were also requested to find some poop scooper for the dogs - by my dad.

Oh my God, there was a 2-month old Siberian Husky and a 5-month old Golden Retriever and the both of them were so CUTE!!!

The Husky had heterochromia. Couldn't see it at the beginning because the light was shining at a weird angle. One eye's actually topaz whilst the other is a very light blue.

It was HEARTBREAKING when we said goodbye, but it was, nonetheless, inevitable.

*Makes whining noises*

-.-

After our mission to Pets Wonderland was completed, my sister and I parted ways - she to where the rest of our famiglia was and I to my haven, that is, Borders. After perusing the "New Arrivals" section and selecting my book, 'The Definitive Book to Body Language', I headed to the Starbucks in Borders and ordered my usual before seating myself at one of the unoccupied tables.

Good choice too, because my family was taking forever to finish shopping. By the time they had called me over for dinner, I was famished.

Dinner was at Ying Ker Lou, famous for its Hakka cuisine. T'was not bad, I guess. I had been there a few times already so I knew what some tasted like.

When dinner was over, we left Mid Valley and returned home. As usual, I can't remember what happened after that.

-.-

Slept early? Late? Who knows?

:P

~Doth solace cometh with swearing?~

Why do people swear?

I've wanted to ask that for quite some time now.

Actually, no. Rather than 'Why do people swear?', it's more like 'Why do we have swear words?'

Think about it: 'fuck' is just a word, right? It's a verb, meaning to have intercourse, right? So why is it a swear word?

For God's sake, call it what you will: swear word, curse word, bad word, cuss word. In the end, it's still a word.

And, it still boils down to: Why do we have swear words?

Categorising these particular words have made lives miserable all over the world. I, for one, once got slapped for swearing at my brother in the presence of my mom.

F*cking hell, I said.

If I'm going to be slapped and abused with each time I use the word, then why does it exist? Already my brother has insulted me, now I have to endure being wrongfully accused by my parents too?

Justice? I think NOT!

My sister has a friend who once said that you can use whatever word you want to describe a shitty day (e.g. disgusting, repulsive, damning, abominable), nothing has a better effect than 'fuck'.

But why??!

Is the word 'fuck' such a tasteful word that nothing else provides comfort?

I will admit that it IS quite an addictive word. I like to write it. Not type it, hear it, see it or say it. I like writing the word. Don't ask why. It's one of life's great mysteries.

Better left unsolved.

Ugh, I'm straying off-topic again. Where was I? Ah yes.

Why do we have swear words?

Caring not for the fact that 'fuck' is a nice word, let's move on to the more general ones, shall we?

Why the hell is 'Jesus Christ' a swear word?

He's the Messiah, right? He's a hero, as far as a fairly great percentage of people are concerned. Why did people make that a swear word?

"Goddamn."

"Freak it."

"Curses."

"Dammit."

"Friggin' hell."

"Heck."

"Bitch."

"Bastard."

And the usual variations and additions of 'fuck'. I didn't even know about 'fuckery' until I was 16, I think. How much more 'creative' can people get, really?

Oh right, we're talking about the people who invented

-.-

Consequently, people probably see swear words as a group of words which help ease whatever stress has been building up inside of them.

Through a slightly-less-than-thorough survey, the results show that out of a class with 34 students, 90% swear because they're angry and find that swearing helps dispose - or otherwise control - their anger.

A smaller percentage use it because they find it cool. Some also use swear words to describe how they're feeling. Not as in anger. Apparently, you can use it in any other situation too. You can even use 'fuck' when you're hungry and say: I'm so f*cking hungry!!

O.O

It just feels good to swear, I think, in most people's cases. And while I most likely will not - if not never - understand, I'll just do what I do best when I hear it.
