Do I need to give an arm?
A leg?
Half a torso?
Take them. I'd gladly sacrifice them on a plate if it would ease her pain. Even if it's only a small portion of the hell she's experiencing on her bed 24/7. She doesn't deserve to go through that. She's loving, kind, supportive, and so many other things that it would take a lifetime to list 'em.
I can't believe someone like her would even get cancer in the first place. She was the epitome of healthy, a strict food-piramid-follower, and a killer chef at that. So why is it she's receiving this form of punishment? Heck, why is she receiving punishment at all?
Give her back her freedom. Give her back her strength. Give her back whatever You took from her.
Give her back her life.
She's gone through enough suffering, don't You think? She can't get up on her own, she can't fix her own food on her own, she can't lie still either because of the bloody pain You instilled in her body.
Now you're taking her legs away too?
How much more before You're satisfied? How much more before You decide to up the pain tenfold? How much more do You think she can withstand before she decides on her own to give up?
Can You be any more of a jack than You already are?
Call me ungrateful and spiteful and atheistic but if You're the one pulling the strings here, I'll heartily bear the consequences.
She was doing so well. She was recovering. Her swelling was residing. But thanks to You, she's crying her eyes out because she can't even stand on her own two feet anymore. She's devastated, embittered, distressed, forlorn, grief-stricken, need I go on?
Please, please, please, please, please. If You're really out there, if You really care for humankind, if You really have a heart, heal her.
May Your words give her the faith and the healing she needs. Be her hope and helping hand. Save her from the depths of despair. Don't let her give up.
Don't make her cry anymore.
