Koko Ni Iru Yo

Here's another manga review! I read this long ago, really. I just never got around to reviewing it. Good news is, it's complete. Written and illustrated by Touyama Ema, this is similar to her previous work that I reviewed - Watashi Ni XX Shinasai.

This tells the tale of Hikage, a young girl who stands out too little for anyone to even notice her. Like a ghost, she appears and reappears out of nowhere, to her classmates. She's very silent and although she wants to speak up, she has no courage to.

She, however, finds comfort in two things: planting things in the school garden and her blog. Through her blog, she unleashes all her fears and worries of never being able to find a friend. Also through her blog, she meets two people who constantly give her advice on how to overcome this. They go by the nicknames MegaPIG and Black Rabbit.

No prizes for guessing who they might be -.-

Even after the countless encouragements from MegaPIG and Black Rabbit, she still finds difficulty opening up to her classmates (and people, in general).

However, that all changes when two of the most popular guys in school, Teru and Hinata, tell her the one thing that she wanted to hear most, that she is not invisible. When they start taking notice of her, she finds herself gradually changing and opening up to everyone in school.

Yes, before you ask, she does fall for one of the two guys. Unfortunately, I can't remember which one she fell for -.- I'm sure I can spare that detail for you to find out, no? I can tell you this, though: It wasn't easy trying to guess who she might end up with, but I guessed right all the same :P

This manga has nineteen chapters and a oneshot in the last volume and can be read here, here, here and a dozen other places, I'm sure.

Watashi Ni XX Shinasai

Okay, this manga was one that I had begun reading quite some time ago. Up until a certain chapter, I was fine with it, but as I continued on, I kinda got annoyed with it.

Let me start from the beginning anyway.

This manga tells the story of a girl, Himoru Yukina. She's extremely silent and calling her anti-social would be an understatement. Other than her cousin, Shimotsuki Akira, she literally speaks to and shows interest in knowing nobody at all.

That is, of course, until she finds out that her "fans" want to read about love in her novels. You see, secretly, Yukina is a phone novelist under the alias "Yupina". Of course, nobody knows of this and she has no intentions of revealing who she actually is. 

The only problem is... She has zero experience in things related to love. She's been alone for all her life when it comes to people in school and outside her house, so naturally, she'd be ignorant when it comes to love. 

At a loss at what to do, Yukina is suddenly struck with an idea when she finds out - by pure accident - that the most popular guy in her class, Kitami Shigure (your typical bishounen), is actually a playboy with a facade. He's also ultra bad-tempered and has a rotten heart.

After gathering enough evidence of his... habits(??), she confronted him and blackmails him into doing whatever she wants in order for her to experience love.

So yeah~ Needless to say, he gets super irritated with her. Eventually, of course, like every other sappy manga, he falls for her and vice versa.

Things only get more complicated when her cousin starts to acknowledge his feelings for her too. Ooh, and, not to mention, when Shigure's childhood friend, Mizuno Mami, appears out of the blue and declares that Shigure is his -.-

Right, so let's see why I dislike this manga.

Reason One: The guy is seriously an asshole. 

And I mean an asshole to the extent where even I can't bear his shitty attitude towards her. Sometimes, I actually prefer it that the guy acts like an ass, then comes to his senses, but Shigure is stupid to the max. Can't stand his character at all. And that's rare, coming from a person like me, who likes it when the main characters hate each other in the beginning.

Reason Two: The girl is seriously an asshole.

Wait, correction, she's not an asshole. She's just plain stupid. Why the frick would she continue using him if he treated her the way he did? If it were me - hell was that ever gonna happen, but it's hypothetical - I would've chosen someone else. Even if he's cute -.-

Reason Three: Akira's a much better match.

This is extremely rare in my case. It's almost non-existent. I think this is the only manga where I'm actually rooting for a supporting character to get the girl. The only other one is Parfait Tic. Yes, I'm on the other twin's side because I think her first boyfriend was a jackass. Back to the current manga, Akira is actually a better person than Shigure. He's kind, caring, and he's been with her since they were small. 

I've always had a thing for manga whose characters end up with their childhood friends -.-

You know, the whole "the one you like is closer than you think" theory?

Yeah~

Reason Four: Mami.

That's all I can say. Mami. Shigure, you nitwit, she's already there. Just grab her and go? Leave Yukina alone. And vice versa. Yukina's got Akira. She doesn't need an idiot like Shigure. Since Shigure's so used to Mami and her mood wings and temperamental personality, why can't he just stick to taking care of her? Eeesh.

Lastly: The whole concept is a little retarded.

No one in their right minds would do stuff like pretending to go out with someone they don't like, holding hands for an hour, resist temptation (that was particularly stupid, though my heart raced -.-), bite the nape of someone's neck, nurse someone, confess, and forcefully kiss?

Hello? Earth to Touyama Ema-san? 

I can't believe I'm saying this, but if I'm ever lucky enough to have her read this and understand: I want her to end up with Akira. Seriously. But I already know that's never gonna happen.

Either way, it's worth a try -.-

This is available in MangaFox, MangaEden, and every other manga-reading website, I think. It has 31 chapters, last I checked, and if you don't mind all the glitches I mentioned, you should enjoy this :)

Klan

Whoopdie-doo, another manga review! I'm currently on a roll, you can say. After this, I'll be updating Immortal Rain too because I just re-read it :P

Alright, so Klan is technically a differently spelt version of Clan. It still works the same way. The only twist is that these clans are based on... animals.

Yeah~

There are four major clans, to be exact. The Tiger Clan, Bear Clan, Wolf Clan and the most "terror" one of all, the Lion Clan. There's also a group of people who "hunt" these people, so naturally, they're called Hunters.

You might be confused about how animals have anything to do with these clans, so let me just clear something up with you.

They can transform into these animals. 

Yeah, it's some kind of "Sheena" movie in manga form -.-

Anyways, everything kind of turned around when the supreme commander of the Lion Clan, Count Linford, decided to subjugate all the four clans where he can rule as the most powerful one of 'em all. This is where Tora comes in.

Tora is a normal high school student but with deceased parents. Before dying, however, he met up with his son and told him out of nowhere that he now has to look after his sister!

Obviously, Tora was shocked beyond words. Then, leaving him some "important" documents, his dad left and sometime later, died. I'm not sure if it was murder or some natural death, but I just know he died. 

-.-

That aside, Tora belongs to the Tiger Clan, and, since it's a dying clan - which means there aren't many of his kind left - naturally, he'd be categorized under "real catch". Doesn't help that Count Linford intends to have Tora's "species" in his clan under a brand new breed, the Liger.

I'm sure you've heard of the term? Breeding tigers with lions? Yeah, but I'm also sure that you've figured Count Linford is a guy, right?

The last time scientists checked, guys can't reproduce.

This is where Tora's sister comes in. 

Naturally, since Tora's from the Tiger Clan, his sister would be the same, right? Common sense, peeps. 

So Count Linford's idea is to marry his kid sister and produce a Liger heir. Pretty sick, right? Tora didn't want that for his newly-found sister, of course, so he was very determined in getting her back when some dudes working for the Count kidnapped her.

And the story moves along that line. It's actually not bad, really. I mean, story's pretty decent, drawings are nice and it's short, so not much time is taken up.

Of course, it's also not really done yet. I mean, the manga is complete but the story isn't. And I can't say I know when the sequel's coming out.

Yeah, so... :) This manga has 15 chapters and illustrated/written by Shouko Fukaki.

Houou Gakuen Misoragumi

Ola :) So this manga is called Houou Gakuen Misoragumi. I finished this within a day, don't worry. Didn't take up much time either, since there are only 22 chapters.

Yeah~

Well, cutting straight to the chase, this manga is a mixture of romance and gender bender. Lemme explain what that means: cross-dressing.

That's technically summing up the whole explanation, really :)

There are a few manga I like that have this as one of their themes. One of my favourites is Charming Junkie. So the bloody cute :P I also like Penguin Revolution. I've reviewed that before. You can read it here. Others include Tokyo Crazy Paradise, AAA, Hana Kimi et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Tokyo Crazy Paradise. I love it so much and I could've sworn I remembered reviewing it -.-

Bleghh~

That aside, Houou Gakuen Misoragumi is a story of a homo. Yeah, it's that kind of story, but not in a bad way, otherwise I wouldn't have continued. The main character of this manga is Saeba Kei and she has an affinity for girls.

Yes, that's why "homo".

You see the person with the short blue hair in the pictures? Yeap, that's her. 

E-xact-ly.

Her mother, obviously worried, decided to forcefully enroll her into an all-boys' school, a trick which Kei realized too late. And that was the start of her torturous high school life.

However, as if it's not bad enough that she barfs whenever she comes in contact with guys - which is why she was donned the title "barfing prince" - she also finds out that she's in the school because of a very sadistic teenager called Yajin Yui. 

Thus her suffering begins.

The twist in the story is quite interesting. Can't beat the famous ones but it's bearable :) Plus, it's kinda emotional, unlike in Hana Kimi or Tokyo Crazy Paradise. I actually felt like crying at one point but sucked 'em all back in :P

Either way, this is a manga you might want to consider if you're bored or need something interesting to read. It's written and illustrated by Arata Aki.

Inu x Boku SS (Youko x Boku SS)

Ola :) Yes, I've decided to review this manga since I just finished it. Don't worry, I didn't sacrifice any sleep for this or anything. This manga was short, so I managed to finish it within the afternoon.

Anyways, this manga is Inu x Boku SS - better known as Youko x Boku SS as a manga. Inu x Boku SS is the title of the anime adaptation. Why they decided to change it, I don't know, so don't ask -.-

That aside, I liked this manga a lot. Well, not to say its storyline is comparable to that of Inuyasha or Rurouni Kenshin, but it was bearable, to say the least.

Written and illustrated by Fujiwara Cocoa, "Inu x Boku SS" tells the story of 15-year-old Shirakiin Ririchiyo, a half-demon and half-human, who takes it upon herself to live alone in a building called the Ayakashi Mansion in an attempt to show others that she can live independently, without relying on anyone.

Her reason for doing so is because of her personality - she intimidates people and doesn't speak much, which makes her an easy target for bullying when she was younger - amongst other complications in her family.

However, her decision to live alone kind of backfires when an SS (Secret Service) Agent is sent to her. Miketsukami Soushi is a half-kitsune *fox* spirit that apparently was saved by Ririchiyo when they were younger. Due to that, he becomes adamant in being her "dog" (hence the title "inu") and obeying her every wish, protecting her from every danger et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

Things continue to turn upside-down and against Ririchiyo's initial idea of living alone when she meets new people in the Ayakashi Mansion - all of which are half-demon and half-human in one way or another - and becomes friends with them.

The twist in the story is pretty mild, though. No "boomz" or large-scaled like that. Just nice for a short 11-chapter manga.

Penguin Revolution

Whoopdie-doo, this is the manga I was typing about in my previous posts. This one's called Penguin Revolution, written and illustrated by one of my newly-found favourite artistes, Tsukuba Sakura.

PEACOCK is an entertainment company - technically a talent agency, really - and its star rankings are divided into three levels. We have the Number 1 (the agency's top talent), the Crows (this category consists of 10 people according to their overall performances) and then we have the Penguins.

Penguins are the lowest ranked in PEACOCK. They are looked down upon and in the manga, it was also clearly stated that they aren't even qualified to have awards et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Cruel, yes, I know.

On the other hand, Fujimaru Yukari has a very irresponsible father who left her, with no notice at all, after his newly-built company went bankrupt. In fact, Yukari would've been left to sleep on park benches had she not caught one of PEACOCK's talents in her school.

Why I say "caught"? It's 'cause Katsuragi Ryou is a 17-year-old masquerading as a girl. She is, actually, a he. Naturally, Yukari is more than surprised and shocked to have discovered that. Nonetheless, had she not, she wouldn't have been offered a job as Ryou's manager.

She accepts, needless to say. Doesn't sound to bad, eh? It's just a job as a manager anyway. No big deal...

... except she has to masquerade as a guy to do that.

Yeah, PEACOCK is that kind of company.

Pause.

No, that sounded way WORSE than what it is actually is. It's just that the company has this kind of... weird policy that all the talents in the agency has to wear disguises in order to protect the company's confidentiality, as well as the talents' privacy when they are just normal people.

So yeah, topsy-turvy everywhere and all over the place :) I personally liked this manga. The only bad thing about it, in my opinion, is that I wished the ending would've been more elaborate. Honestly, they should've prolonged the ending and make it take up one whole chapter instead of a few pages.

Yeah, I'm a hopeless romantic when it comes to manga and anime :) MWAHAHA.

AAA

Okie, okie :)

This is one manga that I decided to read since I wanted to do a manga review instead of an anime one :P

This manga is called AAA and was illustrated/written by Fukushima Haruka. It centers around a particular person namely Ogata Aoi from the Shuutoku High School. The school is, in fact, your typical rich-person's school where the wealthy and smart attend so hands down, we know Aoi's smart.

Actually, Aoi's the school's AAA, which, in their terms, means the best student. She's also the school's student council president.

Haha.

Nonetheless, she doesn't really care if she's the school's AAA. In fact, she doesn't think she deserves the title, since there was someone else who beat her in the school's entrance exam. In the end, he didn't attend that school and Aoi never returned his mechanical pencil to him.

Yeah, I can imagine your confused expressions at the mo -_-

The story goes like this:

Aoi was going to go for the entrance exam when she realized she'd left her mechanical pencil and normal pencils at home. Why? Because she was in a dilemma on which to bring that she forgot to bring both.

Yes, I know, for a smart girl, she's pretty stupid :P

That aside, the boy next to her decided to lend her his pencil and since then, she'd wanted to see him again, but since he didn't get to attend the same school, she never got the chance.

What's more, all she has of him is his pencil and a name: Kuroda Hayato.

Aaah, here comes the interesting part. Just when she thinks she's one step closer to finding her "first crush" - as she calls him - she gets tangled with the bad boys from the neighbouring school - Akutoku High School - and the gang leader wants her as his lackey!

As if it's not bad enough that she has to disguise herself as a guy and sneak into Akutoku High every time she gets a message from the gang leader, she finds out that he has the same name as her "first crush", Kuroda Hayato!

My conclusion: She ends up with the guy I said she would.

Even so, there are some interesting twists in the story, though we never got to understand certain things in the manga.

I'm not too crazy about the drawing style either, but hey, it's alright :)

Sailor Fuku Ni Onegai

Okie dokie :) This is Sailor Fuku Ni Onegai and was written by and illustrated by the same person who drew Faster Than A Kiss, Meca Tanaka :)

I think that's the only reason I read this. I normally go through all the manga that have been drawn by the same person :) Haha.

Anyways, this story is about a girl called Hinagiku and whilst hitting a homerun ball and goes to get it back, she finds that she damaged the shrine residing there. Inspecting the little shrine, she touches the mirror that was placed inside and it was absorbed into her.

Later she realizes she had just become the shrine's God.

Following the series of events, she meets Koma and Shishi, the dog guardians of the shrine. Just so you know, the silver haired one is Koma and the other dude who looks like Kyo from Fruits Basket is Shishi.

While things happen and Hina goes around saving everyone *who coincidentally turn out to be some mysterious creatures that we don't have in our world*, the story centers mostly around the God in Hina as well as Shishi's dark past.

You see, Koma takes the form of a white dog whilst Shishi takes the form of a black one. After going deeper into the manga, you find out that Shishi is a dog of that colour because of a crime he committed when he was younger *about 200 years ago*

It's obviously a very sensitive issue considering Shishi was the first Komainu *guardian dog* who was once human. Because of that fact, Shishi was often disregarded as something filthy and unworthy of living when it's not entirely his fault.

Oh, and did I mention? Shishi cannot fall in love with a human because then he'll disappear. That was the price to pay for his crime in the past. His promise was to not fall for a human.

And obviously when something like that is promised, it must be broken -_-

It's quite cliche, but I like it anyway :)

Plus, the dog is so cute :P

Conclusion:
- I was right about who ends up with who in the end
- Ending is a happy one
- The ending could have been longer and more detailed -_-

Apart from that, it was alright :P

Faster Than A Kiss

This manga is "Faster Than A Kiss" :) I've mentioned this manga both in my blog and Plurk before, I think :) That would be cause it's so friggin' nice!!

Okay, okay, the story goes like this: Kaji Fumino and her brother Teppei, have been jumping *living* from one relative to another and another. This started when her parents died in a car crash. Sick and tired of having to put up with a move every so often, she runs away from home with her brother.

As they were sitting on a bench that night, she runs into her 24-year-old English teacher, Ojiro Kazama. Upon seeing her, he tries to convince her to go back to school. She refuses, obviously, and after serious prodding, she exclaims "Then will you marry me in order to support us?"

Yeah, I think you know what he desperately replied :P

"Yes, I will!"

:P

Of course, there was no wedding ceremony, but they still signed the official papers. Since then, Fumino and her brother have been living at Kazama's house.

Being somewhat a delinquent, Fumino used to have problems in school, but now she's doing well in her papers, all except her English paper, which happened to be the subject her husband was teaching :P

What's hilarious is that Fumino can't really cook *she turns the kitchen black after use* so she has to rely on Kazama on cooking. However, he said that he will only do so on one condition: If Fumino cosplays and greets him with "Welcome back, Danna-sama *husband/dear*" :P

Funny~

Kazama's really cute, as you can see from the picture, and same goes to Fumino. Some complications occur, of course, in every other manga as well :P, such as some people finding out that Kazama and Fumino are dating *because at one point, under forced conditions, they had to stay at a love hotel and classmates saw them come out of it together -_-*

The usual stuff, I guess :)

Unfortunately, not all chapters have been uploaded into Mangafox, but I think we're reaching a conclusion soon.

Charming Junkie a.k.a. Nosatsu Junkie

This manga is Charming Junkie also known as Nosatsu Junkie and was drawn by Ryoko Fukuyama as a shoujo manga series.

It all starts off when Kaburagi Naka, a 14-year-old, gets rejected by her love interest in school because he preferred a girl with a smile like the popular model, Umi's smile. That would be because whenever Naka gets nervous, she has the face of a criminal.

You should seriously read this, her face is hilarious.

Therefore, Naka goes off to join the modeling agency that Umi was in to smile like Umi and capture her upperclassman's heart. This is when things start getting more hilarious. At first, Naka detested Umi for having the ability to capture hearts so effortlessly, but she then finds out Umi's secret.

She is actually a he. Yeah, the famous Umi was a cross-dressing male!

In order to shut Naka up, Umi decides to let Naka model with him for the popular brand "Junk" and she agrees.

She then finds out Umi is actually the Student Council President in her school at 15 years old and she starts to notice his personality in school. Being in school, Umi doesn't hold back and is actually feared by most students because of his demon-like personality.

Umi constantly harasses Naka though and the both of them are really funny throughout the manga. And, as usual, the manga ain't complete so I can't really say anything about it -_- Consequently as the story line goes along, Umi and Naka grow closer and closer and there was actually a part in the manga where Umi confesses his love for Naka to his manager whom he calls Ms President *among other insults :P*

The usual conflicts occur. There was once in the manga when the 17-year-old genius photographer confuses Naka's feelings for Umi *yes, she likes him in the end too -_-* but she stands strong :P

Anyways, yeah, stuff happen, you get my drift.

V. B. Rose *Velvet Blue Rose*

Holy shit, I love this manga. Hell, you can die of cuteness overload by reading this. The story starts off with the main character, Shiroi Ageha, knowing about her beloved sister's, Shiroi Hibari, wedding. Having a huge sister complex, she was completely against the pair getting married because she declared she had not been spending time with her sister since they were engaged.

For some reason, I can understand :P

However, after shopping with her friend Sakashita Mamoru one day, she meets Arisaka Yukari. He recognizes the bag she was holding but didn't say anything. Aha, this is where I say I forgot to mention Ageha loves making stuff like bags and handkerchiefs and stuff like that. She has some kind of management but it's not THAT famous.

It's famous enough, though :P

They part and a few days after consenting to following Hibari to the bridal store where Hibari's dress was going to be made, Ageha finds out that the store is owned by Yukari and his friend Kuromine Mitsuya. But during one of the subsequent visits, Ageha lost her temper and injured Mitsuya's hand.

To atone for her ghastly mistake, she volunteers to finish her sister's gown.

Her job was to sew the beads on to the top half of the dress but she could not finish it in time for the wedding. She then realized Yukari and Mitsuya had expected her not to finish because it was quite an impossible task. However, after finding out Ageha had been busy sewing wedding rabbits as a surprise present for her sister *as a compensation for not understanding her standing before that* Mitsuya told Yukari, "If she had not done that, she could've finished the dress."

Haha.

Soon after the wedding, Yukari tells Ageha that she can still help out in their store, the V.B.R, also known as Velvet Blue Rose. Ageha is ecstatic.

As time passes, Ageha realizes she is in love with Yukari. She can't stop thinking about him *and seriously, I think I know why :P* Unfortunately, after being told by Mitsuya that Yukari's last girlfriend was in high school with him and he never dated part-timers, Ageha was desperate to try and conceal her feelings, vowing never to reveal them.

Hehe, and what would you expect? In the third volume, Yukari finds out he's in love with Ageha because he began disliking Mitsuya's various acts of perversion like hugging Ageha out of sibling love *because he loves his little brother who's around the same age as Ageha*

Mwakaka.

Yukari getting jealous is hilarious :P Cause he actually drags Mitsuya to another room and says, "I think I'm jealous!" with a look of disbelief :P

Now you know why you can die of cuteness overload :P

Not to mention there are only bishoujo and bishounens in this manga. For those who do not know, it means super cute girls and super cute guys. I think I mentioned that already before this :P

Even the staff of V.B.R. and the classmates and passers-by look so cute :P

Hehe~

Anyways, this manga, unfortunately AGAIN, has not ended. It's already ended in Japan but they're slow in reaching Malaysia, obviously. Their tortoise-speed seriously annoys me sometimes. This manga can be read in www.mangafox.com. It has 83 chapters in total but mangafox only has 29 chapters and is released monthly.

Immortal Rain a.k.a. Meteor Methuselah

Okie. This is the manga Immortal Rain *also known as Meteor Methuselah* by Kaori Ozaki.

The grandfather of Machika Balfaltin *known as Zol, the Grim Reaper* had been a very successful bounty hunter since well, he had become a bounty hunter. However, the only bounty he had failed to retrieve was Rain Jewlitt's bounty which seems to increase with every passing day.

Only knowing Rain as Methuselah, many travel to behead him to claim the bounty but none have succeeded. Why? Because Rain was immortal. No matter how many bullets penetrated him, or how many cuts and bruises weakened him, he could not die.

Intending to surpass her grandfather, Machika bravely challenged Rain to receive her bounty but only ended up having her life saved by him after encounters with other bounty hunters.

Since then, Machika had been chasing Rain wherever he went. Along the way, she finds out many things about Rain. Like, for example, the fact that he was actually 624 years old and he could not die due to having eaten an angel.

The mangaka does not reveal exactly how that happened until much later in the series, when Rain began having flashbacks of his childhood friends Yuca Campbell and Freya. Freya had been Rain's love interest since they had met and he carried the violin she used to play well. She was shot by Yuca because he claimed it was of a necessity in order to create the perfect immortal person.

After Freya proved to be a somewhat failed experiment, Yuca fed her blood to Rain and he was transformed into Methuselah with the help of a cross embedded into his chest, connecting to his heart.

What exactly was Yuca planning? Well, he was tired of being reincarnated again after every death. In order to prevent that from ever happening, he had wanted to end the world by killing everyone so there will be no one to give birth to another him anymore. Rain had heard of this and strongly protested but only ended up being used by Yuca.

How is he used? After being granted immortality, Yuca told Rain to use his gift to kill Yuca every time he was reborn.

That was his sole purpose, you could say, in being immortal.

Also along the manga, Rain and Machika begin to fall in love with each other and that is one of the many obstacles they face throughout the manga. This is because Rain does not want to be deeply involved with anyone. And that is because it would really hurt him when she died and he couldn't join her. That would also be the reason to why he tried to shake her off in the beginning of the manga so many times :P

Yeah~

Some conflicts here and there along the way *since Yuca is actually reborn*, but it's a really, really good story overall. I believe that this will honestly be worth your time, especially if you enjoy Rurouni Kenshin and people who are pretty much indestructible :)

Moe Kare!!

This anime is a "kind of" perverted manga, but it's not the one where you'll see all the stuff that people would normally censor, okay?

It starts with a girl - Wakamiya Hikaru - who loves reading shoujo manga and dreams of the day her prince charming will come and say he'll protect her.

Hah, when she runs into a boy who saves her from some people, she thought she found her prince, but when he steals her first kiss, her impression of him obviously changed and instead, she began calling him the Perverted Prince.

However, later, when she attends a goukon *a party where boys and girls from different schools come together, meet and kinda decide which person they'll go for*, she meets a guy who looks EXACTLY like the Perverted Prince, only with a different eye colour.

What does this mean?? 

Especially since she kinda blew up at him for stealing her first kiss and what not, so they got off on the wrong feet -_- But as time passes, she begins to have feelings for Honda Takara. Then, the Perverted Prince shows up again and says he's actually Takara's split personality. 

But that was a lie *I'll spoil this for you :P* They only look exactly the same because they both look like their father. No, they're not twins and they're not brothers, but they're half-brother with the same father and different mothers.

Yes, you can say the dad's a playboy -_-

So Ichikawa Arata is actually a very lonesome boy who goes about looking for trouble because he's... restless. His mom got sick and died when he was young and his dad went to marry Takara's mom, so... He was pretty much alone.

But Arata and Takara share the same common thing: They both love Hikaru -_-

Of course, you're gonna have to read on your own to find out the end, but I'll tell you this: I guessed correct who she would end up with and the ending is actually really satisfying :)

Don't bother with the anime, just read the manga. The anime irritates me like crap because Youtube doesn't have the subbed episodes and watching it raw just makes me crazy because I have no friggin' idea what they hell they're talking about.

I mean, yeah, I can make out what they're saying cause I know a little bit of Japanese, but it doesn't mean I know everything, right?

It's kinda interesting, though, this manga. However, obviously, it's a little outrageous at times, but it makes your heart skip a few beats, so it should be okay, right? Another reason why I prefer the manga is because the drawing in the anime ain't so nice :)

*The girl's hair in the anime looked too big for her head -_-*

Anyways, this is about a girl called Yamada Nina. She's just your average elementary schooler. However, she's always had fantasies about meeting some dude who will protect her from danger. *We all know that doesn't happen in reality, but this is an anime, so bear with it :P*

So she was having some cake at some store with her friends when something dropped from the sky and landed on her cake. Thinking it was candy, she swallowed it, only to realize later when a swarm of people start falling from the sky that she just consumed the Crystal Pearl, used in a wizard exam.

She gets more confused when two guys teamed up for the wizard exam, Zero and Ichii, appear in front of her and say, "Until the exam is over, we will protect you."

So obviously, her life turns upside down, since in school, all her left and right seats are reserved for Zero and Ichii. Oh, by the way, Zero's the one with blue hair and the other's Ichii. Personally, the first time I saw the both of them, I knew immediately the girl would end up with who I thought she would end up with.

It's always like that in anime. The more aggressive and mean one is the one who'll "capture" her heart in the end. The other one probably has some bad experience with girls, even if he looks cuter.

My guess was right :)

However, it's still quite interesting. Not to mention, there's a dude who has a partner who likes to make him cross-dress so it's amusing to read what happens :)

And again, I'm not going to tell you anymore, cause then there wouldn't be a point to reading it. So enjoy if you wanna try this :) CIAO!!

Good Morning Call

Yes, I just finished the manga for "Good Morning Call." This manga consists of 56 chapters and I managed to finish it within two days -_- Yikers :P

This story is mainly about some misunderstandings with some real estate agencies that led to Yoshikawa Nao and Uehara Hisashi living together. If that's not bad enough, Hisashi apparently has a number *large number, though* of fans who think that Hisashi is "Everyone's Hisashi", meaning he can't have a girlfriend.

However, living together has made Nao and Hisashi quite acquainted, so when things get ugly, in order to save Nao, Hisashi declares her his girlfriend.

And as every normal manga, the both of them fall in love -_- 

Anyways, this story... It's got some good elements inside, but I find there are a number of unnecessary parts. I can't really pinpoint them, but you'd feel a tad bored when you get to the ending. Plus, the problem near the end was resolved too fast.

Unlike the other mangas like Kitchen Princess or High School Debut *or Rurouni Kenshin, for that matter*, this story's ending is satisfying, but the problem was solved too quickly. It's as if the manga has to be hurried to finish -_-

Another bad point is the fact that the characters don't have a lot of variety, meaning they don't have their own special traits. Translated: Everyone looks the same. You can only differentiate those who have particular characteristics such as curly hair, short hair, long hair or a little on the chubby side. Other than that, it seems as if the cartoons were doubling as the minor characters as well.

I couldn't even differentiate the antagonist and the protagonist at one point -_-

But this story is funny and if you don't mind spending your time reading manga like this, then I guess you can try it :) CIAO!!

High School Debut ~ Koukou Debut

Danya, we might as well just say we're allowed to blog -_- That's the only thing I'm doing with the computer, don't worry :P 

This manga is High School Debut; or in other names, Koukou Debut. This is quite a sweet and cool love story. I love the main characters. They drive me up the wall and the girl's hilarious. She misunderstands the slightest things, and sometimes, she's so dense that everything needs to be spelt out for her.

That's Haruna. All her junior high school years, she's been only hooked with manga and baseball. She's never gone with guys, talked about other stuff, just manga and baseball have been her best interests.

When she finally gets in high school, she decides she wants to have a boyfriend. However, with the only thoughts in her mind and her sense of style/fashion, she'd never get a boyfriend in a million years.

However, when she accidentally bumps into Komiyama Yoh, the only guy able to read through her thoughts, she asks him to coach her to get a boyfriend. At first, he was reluctant, but in the end, relented. He decides he will coach her on one condition: she mustn't fall in love with him.

But leave it to manga to have their twists and turns. They end up together. There are loads of conflicts and troubles along the way, but they managed not to screw up their relationship. Not only that, but like I said, it's hilarious and long :P Also, Haruna is pretty and Yoh's cute :P

That's the motto of this manga. It revolves around a high school girl by the name of Koshiba Kiri, who always has a -_- look on her face. She doesn't care about anything in the world but despite that, she's an excellent hairstylist.

And so she goes to this school where Narumi, this narcisstic dude,  boasts of his talent with the scissors. Ugh, but in reality, Kiri is much better than him. He lost once when he was young to a girl and that was her -_-

Anyways, so Narumi and two other people have this sort of club in their school called the Scissors Project where they pick one girl to be their model. Cute little Kei is the nail artist whilst mature specs-guy Ochiai is the make-up artist. The girls, indeed, turn out to be absolutely marvelous, but I'm tellin' ya, Kiri's much better.

So Narumi gets seriously agitated when she shows up out of nowhere. "Puffy Head", he calls her, because apparently, her hair's quite puffy. I don't think so, though. She looks fine. What's wrong with you?? 

But you still will like Narumi in the end. Yes, cause they end up together. This is about the third manga out of five that I've read that the main characters end up together. Wee!! :P I'm still waiting for Kaze Hikaru -_-

Yeah, so, Ochiai *who somehow developes feelings for Kiri, decides he must get her into SP no matter what. Narumi is angry, of course, but who cares about what he feels? :P They encounter loads of trouble in this manga as well. Ooh, and if you've read Kitchen Princess, then you would know that Daichi and Sora's father is an ass, right? *At the beginning, anyway* Well, it's the same for Beauty Pop. You will HATE, DESPISE, and LOATHE Narumi's father.

Enjoy, ne? They gain comrades along the way up to the top. Well, or so Narumi thinks, anyway. Haha. There's this girly dude, Narumi's sister, two of Kiri's friends and so on. And of course, Kiri always says the same thing before she cuts someone's hair.

Kaze Hikaru

If you don't love Okita Soji, you're an ass :P That's of course, acceptable in my sister's case because she doesn't really know how to appreciate manga. I know I should begin indulging myself in more sophisticated reading materials than just pages you see off a screen, but I seem to be a little happier with anime characters who look cute in black and white. *Of course, I wouldn't refuse them in colour either :P*

This manga is called Kaze Hikaru. I've mentioned this in one of my earlier posts. Let me take this opportunity to inform you that it is currently 3:26 a.m. and I am still not in bed. My bedtime was due about 4 hours ago but I was using my dad's favor of printing certificates as an excuse.

Of course, I have already accomplished that given task, about an hour ago and was too engrossed in trying to find the remaining volumes of Kaze Hikaru that mangafox.com decided to cut out -_-

Oh yeah, they stopped at volume 7 and jumped all the way to volume 22. Hell am I gonna continue when I don't know what in the world happened in between that time! Grr... -_-

On the other hand, I love Okita Soji and the way Taeko Watanabe describes him to be. Calm, cute, unbelievably adorable, and when necessary; a cold blooded killer :) 

Let me fill y'all in. Kaze Hikaru is set in the bakumatsu period. In English, it's during the Revolution. For those of you who have already read Kaze Hikaru, or watched/read Samurai X a.k.a. Rurouni Kenshin would know of what I am mentioning.

After her father and brother are murdered, Tominaga Sei decides to pose as a young man, namely Kamiya Seizaburou, so she will be permitted to join the Mibu-Roshigumi *later renamed to Shinsengumi* to avenge their deaths. However, not before long, under the strict training of *I would call* charming Okita Soji :P, she gradually begins to fall in love with him.

However, soon after, she uncovers who assasinated her father and brother and goes in search for the culprit. Some interesting events take place *I shan't spoil the surprise :)* and the culprit, without a doubt, dies. Yet, even with her revenge fully complete, Sei decides to stay in the Shinsengumi to fight alongside Soji and protect him. 

Then again, there's Saitou Hajime *whom Rurouni Kenshin readers/watchers would know extremely well as the third leader of the Shinsengumi group* who, in Kaze Hikaru, is Okita Soji's very good friend as well as Sei's silent protector. He still does not know of Sei's secret of being a girl, but he cares a lot for her safety. He also bears an uncanny resemblance to Sei's deceased brother, namely Tominaga Yuuma, and so he often has her calling him Aniue, which means "brother" in Japanese :)

So with only around two people who knew of Sei's real gender *Soji and a lover of her deceased brother, Meiko*, Sei has to try her best to stay in the Shinsengumi and not reveal her secret.

Soji, although a real knucklehead, really cares a lot for Sei -_- There are moments when I was reading the manga that I felt like pulling every strand of his hair from his scalp because of his stupidity in not acknowledging his feelings for Sei. Wake up, woman!! -_- He often mistakes Sei for a guy sometimes *though not on purpose* but when he does remind Sei she's a girl, she would explode.

Then again, those moments are hilarious :)

Zettai Kareshi

One word for this manga= HILARIOUS.

It's not hentai just because the guy misunderstands alot, okay? He's actually unbelievably cute and really, really nice too. Especially the part he beat up those guys who were bad-mouthing Riiko. Yeah man!! :P

Anyways, this manga is about a girl, Riiko, who's been single all her life because she has no luck with men. A.K.A, she doesn't have nice... how do you say it?? Err... appeals?? -_-

A-ny-way, she then gets this card from some random dude who tells her if she wants a boyfriend, she can try the website on the card.

So she does, out of curiosity, and submits an application, thinking it was just a joke. However, when a package arrives outside her apartment with a man inside, Riiko doesn't know what to think anymore. Is that boy really hers? Or is this another trick?

-_- Yeah...

It's hilarious. Try it. You'll end up laughing on your sides :)

Kitchen Princess

I'm very sorry, but I have to go now, so I'll just say that if you see this and don't buy it in Kinokuniya, you're an ass :P

I didn't wanna waste space, so I'll just continue about Kitchen Princess here. It's 10:53 a.m. and I just escaped the bathroom from an enormous spider. It wasn't the normal kinds either. It was dark brown in colour and looked really nasty.

*Shivers*

Anyways, Kitchen Princess is a great manga. It's like DAMN!! :) The guys are like Kyo and Yuki *from Fruits Basket* You know, as in, there are two guys; one is charming and the other's the cool but shy kind? Yeah...

The girl's cute too. I hated one of the girls there called Akane *Is it just me or I hate all girls whose names are Akane?* who dislikes the main character, Najika, because she's in the special class for no particular reason. :)

Najika came to Seika Academy for a purpose, though. She's an orphan who was left behind by her parents and she couldn't eat at all when that happened. Then, when she was walking around the orphanage outside, crying, a boy met her and gave her a flan *like panacotta*. She ate it and instantly smiled. However, the boy soon had to go and the girl was left with a silver spoon that the boy let her eat with.

Noticing the emblem on the silver spoon as Seika Academy's, she vows to find her prince when she studies hard and gets into Seika Academy. She's put in the Special Class. However, things don't go as planned and Akane doesn't seem to like it that she made friends with the two most popular guys *also the director's sons* and they seem to have something for her. :)
