Our school has got to be the worst at hiding
As for those who are absolutely oblivious to what I'm talking about, I'm referring to this morning during our assembly when one of the HEM teachers was giving a speech about the confiscation of phones in the school as well as when students' parents may claim them. Apparently, we're the only school that needs a subtle approach, followed by a letter in black and white, culminating to a huge public announcement in front of the whole school.
But that's not why I'm typing this. I'm typing this because after that she had the nerves to say, "Do we have to write in all 3 languages for you to understand?"
The frick?
And what if we do? Do you have a problem with that? I don't think it matters that our school is a school whose main language is your native language. There's no rule against doing that, right? At least then you'll gain our favours, if we're forgiving enough.
So what? Now we're not smart enough to understand your language? You think that you can use the pathetic excuse that it's a general announcement directed to those at fault that the rest of us are immune to your raptures? There are only a handful of people who do that. Don't group the rest of us with them.
On the other hand, I'm also pissed about how the students' parents behaving. Are you willing to stoop so low that you're subjecting yourselves to kissing her shoes to get your child's phone back? Is that piece of worthless device really that necessary? Is your child working? Is your child going abroad? Will you child die - physically - from the act of confiscating his/her phone?
What Megan Fox preached was probably right. We now live in an age where the severity of losing your virginity bears no comparison to the severity of losing your phone.
Where the frick has your dignity gone?
End of rant.
