Full Moon Wo Sagashite

Or, in English, "Looking for the Full Moon". This anime revolves around 12-year-old Kouyama Mitsuki, who loves to sing. Two years before, she had made a promise with Eichi, a childhood friend who's 6 years elder than her, who had confessed to her. Unfortunately, before she had been able to reply, he left for America.

They parted with only a promise, which was to achieve their dreams before they met again. For Eichi, it was to become an astronaut, and for Mitsuki, a singer. With those words embedded deep within Mitsuki, she strives her hardest to be a singer.

However, there's a big problem. Mitsuki has a throat cancer, called Sarcoma, which disables her from even speaking too loudly. She could undergo surgery, as her doctor *also her father's best friend* Wakaouji, had suggested, but she refused because there is no certainty of her voice remaining because of where the tumor is located.

Yet, she still won't give up. Even with her grandmother who despises music and discourages Mitsuki with every chance she's given, Mitsuki won't give up. She finally takes a step forward when two Shinigamis *Death Gods*, appear in her room and tell her she only has one more year left to live.

Gathering everything she had within her, she goes off to a singing audition held that day at Seed Records. Meroko and Takuto, the Shinigamis, watched as Mitsuki fruitlessly tried to get it. It was impossible, because Mitsuki had to be 16 to enter the audition. On the verge of giving up, however, Takuto decides to help her. He gives her his blood and with a snap of his fingers, transforms her into a beautiful 16-year-old.

Mitsuki is very happy, because not only does she get to enter, but she can sing as loud as she wants too, because as a 16-year-old, she doesn't have cancer. With all her efforts made, she succeeds. She becomes a singer with Wakaouji as her guardian. She works hard during the year, with the constant help from Takuto and Meroko. 

She decided her stagename was to be Full Moon.

However, the tables turn during this anime *like every other anime :P* and Mitsuki will have to endure everything. Will it be easy for her? Especially with her interfering feelings for Takuto? And his for her? :P
